The logical thing to do would be to leave the Rwanda scheme on place until the Labour alternative was made . That is assuming they have one.

If we apply logic to James statements, then we should withdraw from the UN Convention on refugees - do we want to be the first to do that?
Well we have to stand up and be counted sometime, not just be weak and pushovers. I stand with James, bring people in who like the people and this country yes, but so many coming here detest everything about this country (apart from what they can get out of this country). Some people couldn’t make a decision if their lives relied on it, any excuse to bring this country down, ie Storm and the lawyer, excuses and excuses.
@@mikehewitt1253Well the UK Government could amend it and tell the UN the state of emergency the UK is in and start refusing entry and removing the failures. That would require a lot of balls that Blair might have but Starmer doesn't. It is a long shot , and maybe Labour likes the chaos.
@@michaelharding4573 you have to actually process the asylum application to find out if they fail so they can then be deported. If we don't process the applications then everyone just stays here indefinitely at tax payers expense. So what have the Tories been playing at all this time.
@@cynthiamorris1874 Cynthia , see reply below to Mike Harding for a bit more understanding of the problems caused by Tory fannying around for the past 14 yrs. We need Doctors, Nurses, care staff - we have deliberately left training needs for this country to the winds with no proper forward planning so now we have too few home grown people ready to fill the gaps - we need people to do these jobs. You're not going to complain where the Surgeon comes from as he saves your life after a car crash are you? Tories, right wingers are incapable of thinking past their bigotry, go on throw everyone you can out tomorrow and then see how long you can last before begging them all to come back. Right Wingers - never the sharpest eh?
@@mikehewitt1253 Mike, that’s not what I meant at all, I know exactly what has been going on. Other countries have been able to train their own and now seem to have a surplus. My granddaughter works in the NHS, I also had an experience a fortnight ago where I spent just over 12 hours in A&E and had to call a taxi at 3.00 am to get me home. The paramedics were really marvellous, and most of A&E, after being seen initially by a nurse etc, I then had a 10 hour wait to see a doctor, that took all of about 8 minutes. I am not complaining, but I am ancient, and after ringing for a taxi I waited outside for it to arrive and got home at about 3.30am. The reason I went alone to A&E was because I had to send 50 miles for a family member to look after my husband as I am his sole carer and couldn’t leave him alone obviously. It was very stressful, and the situation is ongoing. This country has changed beyond recognition I believe.
