the hair and makeup is just part of one of many subcultures in japan. just because some japanese don't look like what most people outside of japan consider asian doesn't mean they are trying to look like white people. thats like saying white people who tan are trying to look black. we all need to learn how to accept differences amongst people in all countries and stop jumping to conclusions about why others dress or act the way they do.
