This is a video tutorial on how I do my own personal everyday Gyaru makeup, a makeup style perfect for either an everyday look or going out with friends, and even a big event (I was actually getting ready for a party when I made this)! It's a natural look that still always seems to turn heads wherever I go and I tend to get a lot of compliments on how it looks. I've had multiple people ask me for how I do my makeup so instead of just throwing a couple of pictures together, I thought it'd be nice to make a tutorial for Pyonghwaa's Gyaru Makeup Contest.
This makeup is also perfect for girls with blue or green eyes and red hair, because the colors seem to just highlight and compliment the colors. It's all done with very simple makeup brushes and colors since all I ever seem to hear when it comes to makeup was that girls wished they had all the brushes featured in the video for the look -- makeup doesn't have to be done with very expensive brushes to look good! All the products I used were relatively inexpensive and you could more than likely find at any drug store with any makeup kit. A few makeup secrets of mine are featured as well -- you'd be surprised at what eye shadow serve as other than eye shadow! The way I did my makeup was in an easy format, great for beginners when it comes to the art of Gyaru makeup -- very simple to achieve!
Side note, before any haters come and decide to talk, I want to give my view of what exactly Gyaru is to me. Gyaru is the expression and the pride of being a girl, a girl who loves being girly and highlighting her beautiful assets in every way and expressing her love for fashion for everyone to see with the best of pride. Gyaru is not being afraid to express yourself, all the love for fashion and beauty you feel inside, on the outside and just being proud to be a woman and be noticed for your beauty and love for fashion. Gyaru is the appreciation for the beautiful things, a contribution to being cute and showing everyone you're proud to be a girl and you're proud to love fashion. Gyaru are not fake on the outside, they're displaying their love and passions on the inside also on the outside as well -- showing everyone how beautiful they feel inside on the outside. Gyaru is a culture, a lifestyle, and an art.
EXTRA NOTE: Yes, I am pale! But you do not have to be tan to be a Gal. If I could tan, I would but I have extremely sensitive skin that refuses to tan and my family has a bad history of skin cancer so I can't tan. I don't want to hear anyone get really nasty about that and try to be a "know-it-all" and tell me I can't be Gal because I'm not tan. Yes, I can. Gyaru was no created with all these rules and while there are tan Gals, there are also pale Gals as well -- even Gaijin Gyaru.
WARNING: I also want to apologize ahead of time for a little hiccup and oopsie featured in the video: my bra strap. I honestly had no idea my shirt was falling off my shoulder until I was halfway done with the makeup. Thankfully, I did fix it, but I do apologize -- that shirt is way too big for me but I still refuse to let it go, for some reason. So, incase it's a little too distracting, I'm so sorry, but I did warn you!
IMPORTANT NOTE: This video is only a temporary video for this channel. Yes, it is me featured in the video and it belongs to me but I'd like to keep my videos organized on TH-cam and once I get around to creating my brand new TH-cam channel dedicated to my beauty videos, it will be deleted off of this channel and moved over to the new one. On the new channel, I'll be featuring even more "How To" videos having to do with hair, makeup, skin care, and even my extension secrets (I wasn't wearing my extensions in this video because I do my makeup first then my hair afterwards) and even some vlogs as well! But the new channel will be created after the contest when my new eyelashes come in and I get a better camera -- as you can see, the color was slightly off so I need to get a new one since I was using my boyfriend's at the time.
