How to color different Flowers | WORLD OF FLOWERS by Johanna Basford | Prismacolor colored pencils

- In this full tutorial video, I show step by step how I color autumn flowers and leaves. I decided to keep the frame white and make almost transparent shadows on it with a grey pencil. I made a gradient from red to green for the background, and I used a colorless pencil to smooth strokes.

I usually just turn these color-alongs that people do on as accompaniment while I work on my own art. The thing is I found myself stopping to watch because what you were doing was so beautiful! Wow!

It’s been a year, and it’s like this video was made yesterday. I quickly ordered my Basford coloring book, replaced some missing pencils, and got to work. Its been a blast! I’m keeping up with AoC and challenging myself with the intricate pencil strokes needed for this page. It”s really fun AND soothing

@Charm21ish Thanks! I use Kohinoor pencil extender, it is more tight than extenders from other companies and it works perfect. So this one is my favorite, Amazon link: amzn.to/3yg5NuZ
If you do not mind me asking - how come sometimes you use the colourless blender, like with the blue flower, but use white on the magenta/spanish orange flower?
@KW-wy6xg Because they have different effects. White pencil is blending very good and of course brighten initial color. Colourless blender is not so good as white pencil in my opinion and it does opposite effect - it darkens initial colors. If you have these two pencils test it and you will notice the difference 😀
What is the rubbery thing she uses on pencils? I have osteoporosis in both thumbs. I haven’t colored for months..I miss the peace and I seem like a beginner all the time..I Appreciate her fallow alongside So very much!

I wish you didn’t cut parts of the video… it skips from one part where you are colouring to another part that’s already coloured…. I have to guess the colours you used… yes it’s probably the same pc # as before, but it’s nice to feel certain and confident… I just discovered your channel and of course you have made a new fan/subscriber. Your work is astonishing! My compliments to the great artist that you are. 🤩😍❣️

Why can't you just make the color darker the first time you put it down instead of having to come back and do it over again
@jessicaspaw528 Sometimes I see that it's not enough pencil strokes, sometimes after to color around I return because I want to make it darker comparing to everything else. Sometimes just because I feel like doing it 🙂
