I love the videos of players who had careers that spanned the SD -> HD changeover, clips that look like they could have been recorded yesterday interspersed with ones that look like they come off your dad's VCR
In some weird alternate universe Danny chip and Gavin Henson played 10 and 12 for the same club, both tearing the opposition apart and simultaneously pissing their own career away
God he was a wizard. In a parallel universe he has 100 England caps, would be measured against Dan Carter in terms of his style and be mentoring Marcus Smith

If the DOR /Head Coach's job is to get the best out of the best players available, Danny's career is a very simple statement on the sad limitations of so many who took a large pay cheque from the RFU and bottled the issue. Eddie Jones chose to pick two yes man in Farrell and Ford, and didn't even give himself the "Ace in the hole" option in 2019, so, with Farrell as skipper, you're doomed to pick him, and his well known limitations as a 12. We're losing a world cup final, writing on the wall, we need someone who can conjure something out of nothing. "Naaaah, mite, Ah sidd en mah boook, Cipriani wusn't good enough, so thett's utt." he was good enough but lacked consistency. Peak Cipriani is better in attack than either Ford or Farrell but their levels never dropped as hard as his could

This man was supposed to be J Dub's heir! Love that he found some sick form at the end of his career. And let's not forget, he was one of the best players at Melbourne rebels!

In an era of blitz defences I’d love to see more 10s play like this. Russell is probably the closest we’ve got.
Russell is better
@@ethanspencer7060he certainly ain’t. There’s not many better and more naturally gifted tjen cips and this coming from a non English man
The only one who kept Danny Cipriani from being the starting 10 for England was Danny Cipriani
Excuse my ignorance but Why is that ? Was it injury or attitude ?This guy is a beast lol I mostly watch rugby league
When he was young yeah a bit of attitude. He was supposed to be Jonny Wilkinson's heir and had tons of hype. But the celebrity lifestyle sniped him.
He was a genius and I believe England just coudnt deal with him which was a shame .

Pure talent.
That left to right 😍😍
Haven’t watched it but thanks

If only it were a Cipriani world. Rugby would be so much more interesting.

no, he announced he's retired as of last week.

How does this man not have more england caps, he has everything, good defence and good attack, Finn Russell but better

Do you have any actual evidence of "attitude" part?
Probably the best 10 England have had since Wilkinson. It’s a shame he never got to his true potential internationally.
