MEELA IS PERFECTION!!!! LOVE HER. I was recommended the new Dior Forever at Sephora, and wore it this past weekend, for the first time, to my son's wedding. I had it on all day, danced all night, with no touch ups, and it was flawless the entire time. Judging by the bottle, it was the new formula. VERY happy with it. Thank you for the review. I only use "clean" products, and am thrilled with this foundation.
I used the old and the new. The new one has no controversial ingredients in the formula, for me the new one was more comfortable, soothing even! I didn’t think it was possible to be more comfortable than the old one but here we are... Also the new one is transfer proof. I believe the drop in spf reflected the shade of pigment, refined the texture and gave True Tone colour matching too.

I'd tried their glow version not too long ago & wasn't all that impressed. But, the reformulation came right after so I decided to give the new one a shot. I was wanting a new foundation and was testing it with the new Nars and the new CT. Before I tried the new Dior I was leaning towards the Nars. But as soon as I put on the Dior I was instantly in love. So the Dior is what I purchased. I had the Nars on my wishlist for next. But, that changed again today when I was finally able to try the new N1 de Chanel. Omg, it was beautiful ❤️. I did however do something different with the Chanel. I had a sample of the Dreamskin primer from Dior so used it underneath the Chanel. Together I feel like they're a perfect combo. Now those are at the top of my list. ❤️❤️

I LOVE Chanel #1. It seems to look better as the day goes on. I don’t wear foundation often but have been playing anyway. I’m happy I purchased this. I have a sample of the Dior Matte. I tried it on in the store and it was beautiful throughout the day. Think I’m gonna get that too.

I understand the fear. I had discovered the original Dior Forever ( before they reformulated it the first time and turned it into the matte and the glowy version). I would mix it with my perfect shade of L’Oréal pro glow and it would look exactly the same at the end of the night as it would in the beginning. It made me look flawless and poreless and it never faded. With that being said, when they reformulated it I was so nervous and devastated when neither one worked for me like the OG. I just got a sample of this newest formulation and I have very high hopes that it will be more like the first one. I’ve been watching videos and looking at comments to see if anyone had the same experience as me and how this compared for them to the real OG but I can’t find any. I guess I’ll find out tom 🙏🏼 BTW, my sister fell in love with it at the same time as I did, she also mixed it with L’Oréal Pro Glow and she saw barely any difference when they reformulated the first time so it all depends on the person and their skin. I couldn’t believe that I had finally found a foundation that was seemingly made just for me and they went and reformulated it. I know the panic some of you must be feeling.

I still own the old formula which the bottle is pretty full yet, as I use my other foundations throughout the week. The only difference I noticed visibly is the undertone as you mentioned, so...🤷♀️ I've seen other reviews where it is mentioned they eliminated an ingredient that apparently caused oxidation of the product.
It appears that the reformulated version is more of a true neutral while the original looks a little pinkish. I just ordered one in 2.5N but I am s little darker than you so I hope it works. Thank you for the review!

The reformulated Dior forever matte foundation is pretty stellar in my opinion. I absolutely live for it. All of the foundation releases so far I have been really loving. Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Kosas, and Dior forever matte new are top shelf for me! Also been loving bobbi brown skin longwear foundation tgat has the frosted bottle too. I'm currently waiting for the new bbb foundation from Patrick starrr and also the new makeup forever HD skin foundation to come in the mail. The bbb foundation sounds like it will be real nice for my skin type from what I've seen from youtubers that have similar skin type to me. And the HD skin I'm really curious about because I love the original so much . I'm excited 😊
I've been on a hunt for foundation and I just ordered the Dior forever Matte, NARS light reflecting, and Kosas! I tried Nars sheer glow but I feel like it breaks part way through the day. Currently I wear Estee Lauder Double Wear but felt like for winter it's too thick and drying. Curious for your thoughts!
It looks absolutely stunning! So happy they are the same other than the color. I feel like this about the Armani Power Fabric foundation!!! May have to give this one a try!

I am quite surprised how identical both looks. I have the original and got sample re-formulated version. I haven't tried yet. Only issue with this foundation is, that you have to be careful with the primer you use. First I tried Dior Backstage primer, oh my gosh....Foundation moved and settled in every pores and fine lines, it looked awful. Then I tried with Dior's veil primer and the finish was much better. Yes, it last all day long, but silicon primers won't work with this foundation. At least not on my skin.
So glad to read this!!!! my fav Elf primer doesn't work with it at all. Makes the pores on my nose look way bigger I was like why is this not working for me...
I had never tried this foundation but decided to try it because I’ve been loving everything Dior. The first day I applied with brush and didn’t quite like how it looked. I was ready to return but then The next day I tried with the blendiful (by Tati) and I LOVED it. It reminded me of the ELDW foundation with which I had a similar experience. The Dior did last the entire day and looked amazing at the end of the night (9 hours of wear). I need to try it for longer and see how it looks ❤️ My shade is 2W. In the other Dior foundation (Backstage) 2W is too light for Summer and 3W too deep. So I mix them and I guess I get a 2.5W lol. We’ll see how much longer I can use this 2W!!
What a coincidence, we just bought a new puppy as well. Ours is a cocker spaniel…..they’re adorable when they’re babies. We have two dogs now and they are like my kids. The Dior foundation is beautiful. I love their Powder No Powder. I may have to give this one a try! 💜💜💜
Dior face & body (2-n, 2.5n) are my closest color match all time fav. I've been thinking about getting the Dior matte or either the Nars soft matte or light reflecting. I'm concerned about the Nars colors all being more yellow. Now Dior is looking yellow:( Meela is adorable ♡
Awwwwww Hi Miss Meela, she’s definitely the Star ⭐️ of the show today Lisa 🐶💓, as for the foundation, it looked lovely on both sides, I don’t know why companies change the shade match from the same company, I’m in need of a couple of new foundations, how would you compare this one to the new NARS Light Reflecting foundation, obviously they’re two different formulas, one being a matte and the other more glowy would that be correct, I’ve just heard so many different reviews on the new NARS one that I need to get a sample of it to try first before purchasing, I love Dior Airflash spray foundation that’s the only Dior product I own but thinking of purchasing this one to have in my collection and getting rid of all the ones I don’t use anymore, can I just say How Adorable 🥰 little puppy 🐶 is, she’s got the sweetest little face, I just want to cuddle her and let her lick me also Lol 😂 some don’t like that but when your a fur baby lover you don’t care about things like that, it shows how much you love them and they love you just as much. I can imagine the girls loving her and probably taking turns who she sleeps with at night Lol 😂, although potty training is still happening I’d imagine, she’s so cute 🥰. I know you were not thrilled with the new 2.5…I want to pick it up asap, they are selling out everywhere but not sure which one. 2N seems like it would be too light and 3N is sold out ugh! Thoughts please. The 2.5 is also sold out! What I mean sold out is that I can’t buy in store! I prefer not to order if at all possible.

I LOVE this foundation but could not get a neutral color to work, I ordered 3 different shades, all neutral ,I’m always neutral 😂 finally realized why the colors different work, they’re too warm for me and ordered 3CR. We shall see 🤞🏻😁
Lisa I have a question. I can normally wear most of the same shades that you wear when it comes to foundation. Unfortunately I ordered a few things before checking out what your shade was so of course I ordered the wrong shades. One is to dark and one is to light. I've thought about mixing them but because they are so different I wasn't sure if it would work. I want to try so I was wondering if you might help me with the ratio or give me your thoughts. The one that's to dark is Dior Forever Skin Matte in 3.5N ( needed 2.5N I believe) and the one that is to light is the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin in 4N ( probably need 6N). I'm seriously considering just ordering the 6N and giving the two wrong shades away but because I have so many foundations already I thought maybe mixing them was the right thing to try. Advice? Suggestions? ( I'm 43 with combo skin, light-med neutral, with texture, large pores and discoloration.)

Oh wow, new vs old Dior Forever. Years ago I wore Dior skin Pure Light. Switched to Airflash when discontinued as I did not like the Forever --- felt so heavy compared to the oil free Pure Light. Now, jumping forward years... Airflash discontinued, down to my last can, omg 😣 I've tested both the Forever Matte and the Glow. So surprised that the matte feels light and covers well. Not at all as I remember 10 years ? ago. The Glow feels sticky so not my choice. All I can conclude is that this Dior foundation has has a few changes over the years??? . 😳

Hi! I also love the Alastin Hydratint SPF as well but I can not for the life of me get it to work with any foundations I own!! It’s beautiful on its own but when I apply foundation to it it’s immediate cake face on me. 😭 I’m thinking it’s the amount of SPF I’m applying (1/4 tsp) but I don’t want to use any less.

The reformulated Dior forever matte foundation is pretty stellar in my opinion. I absolutely live for it. All of the foundation releases so far I have been really loving. Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Kosas, and Dior forever matte new are top shelf for me! Also been loving bobbi brown skin longwear foundation tgat has the frosted bottle too. I'm currently waiting for the new bbb foundation from Patrick starrr and also the new makeup forever HD skin foundation to come in the mail. The bbb foundation sounds like it will be real nice for my skin type from what I've seen from youtubers that have similar skin type to me. And the HD skin I'm really curious about because I love the original so much . I'm excited 😊
I've been on a hunt for foundation and I just ordered the Dior forever Matte, NARS light reflecting, and Kosas! I tried Nars sheer glow but I feel like it breaks part way through the day. Currently I wear Estee Lauder Double Wear but felt like for winter it's too thick and drying. Curious for your thoughts!

I am quite surprised how identical both looks. I have the original and got sample re-formulated version. I haven't tried yet. Only issue with this foundation is, that you have to be careful with the primer you use. First I tried Dior Backstage primer, oh my gosh....Foundation moved and settled in every pores and fine lines, it looked awful. Then I tried with Dior's veil primer and the finish was much better. Yes, it last all day long, but silicon primers won't work with this foundation. At least not on my skin.
So glad to read this!!!! my fav Elf primer doesn't work with it at all. Makes the pores on my nose look way bigger I was like why is this not working for me...
I had never tried this foundation but decided to try it because I’ve been loving everything Dior. The first day I applied with brush and didn’t quite like how it looked. I was ready to return but then The next day I tried with the blendiful (by Tati) and I LOVED it. It reminded me of the ELDW foundation with which I had a similar experience. The Dior did last the entire day and looked amazing at the end of the night (9 hours of wear). I need to try it for longer and see how it looks ❤️
My shade is 2W. In the other Dior foundation (Backstage) 2W is too light for Summer and 3W too deep. So I mix them and I guess I get a 2.5W lol. We’ll see how much longer I can use this 2W!!
What a coincidence, we just bought a new puppy as well. Ours is a cocker spaniel…..they’re adorable when they’re babies. We have two dogs now and they are like my kids. The Dior foundation is beautiful. I love their Powder No Powder. I may have to give this one a try! 💜💜💜

Dior face & body (2-n, 2.5n) are my closest color match all time fav. I've been thinking about getting the Dior matte or either the Nars soft matte or light reflecting. I'm concerned about the Nars colors all being more yellow. Now Dior is looking yellow:(

Awwwwww Hi Miss Meela, she’s definitely the Star ⭐️ of the show today Lisa 🐶💓, as for the foundation, it looked lovely on both sides, I don’t know why companies change the shade match from the same company, I’m in need of a couple of new foundations, how would you compare this one to the new NARS Light Reflecting foundation, obviously they’re two different formulas, one being a matte and the other more glowy would that be correct, I’ve just heard so many different reviews on the new NARS one that I need to get a sample of it to try first before purchasing, I love Dior Airflash spray foundation that’s the only Dior product I own but thinking of purchasing this one to have in my collection and getting rid of all the ones I don’t use anymore, can I just say How Adorable 🥰 little puppy 🐶 is, she’s got the sweetest little face, I just want to cuddle her and let her lick me also Lol 😂 some don’t like that but when your a fur baby lover you don’t care about things like that, it shows how much you love them and they love you just as much. I can imagine the girls loving her and probably taking turns who she sleeps with at night Lol 😂, although potty training is still happening I’d imagine, she’s so cute 🥰. Hello beautiful Lisa. 😍 have you ever tried the Shiseido self refreshing foundation. Also have you tried the Cle de peau radiant foundation. Pricy I know but 2 absolutely beautiful foundation. Love them both very much. Lasts long 8 hours + and does not get into my fine lines and wrinkels
Lisa- what shade have you decided to go with in the new formula? I know you were not thrilled with the new 2.5…I want to pick it up asap, they are selling out everywhere but not sure which one. 2N seems like it would be too light and 3N is sold out ugh! Thoughts please. The 2.5 is also sold out! What I mean sold out is that I can’t buy in store! I prefer not to order if at all possible.

I LOVE this foundation but could not get a neutral color to work, I ordered 3 different shades, all neutral ,I’m always neutral 😂 finally realized why the colors different work, they’re too warm for me and ordered 3CR. We shall see 🤞🏻😁
I tried 2.5N on one side and the 3C on the other which looked better and brighter. I may look at the 3CR too.

Lisa I have a question. I can normally wear most of the same shades that you wear when it comes to foundation. Unfortunately I ordered a few things before checking out what your shade was so of course I ordered the wrong shades. One is to dark and one is to light. I've thought about mixing them but because they are so different I wasn't sure if it would work. I want to try so I was wondering if you might help me with the ratio or give me your thoughts. The one that's to dark is Dior Forever Skin Matte in 3.5N ( needed 2.5N I believe) and the one that is to light is the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin in 4N ( probably need 6N). I'm seriously considering just ordering the 6N and giving the two wrong shades away but because I have so many foundations already I thought maybe mixing them was the right thing to try. Advice? Suggestions? ( I'm 43 with combo skin, light-med neutral, with texture, large pores and discoloration.)

Oh wow, new vs old Dior Forever. Years ago I wore Dior skin Pure Light. Switched to Airflash when discontinued as I did not like the Forever --- felt so heavy compared to the oil free Pure Light. Now, jumping forward years... Airflash discontinued, down to my last can, omg 😣 I've tested both the Forever Matte and the Glow. So surprised that the matte feels light and covers well. Not at all as I remember 10 years ? ago. The Glow feels sticky so not my choice.
All I can conclude is that this Dior foundation has has a few changes over the years??? . 😳

Thank you Donna! They are very similar. #7 is very translucent and has a mirror. PF powder has pigment and has multi shades. Both great powders.
Hi! I also love the Alastin Hydratint SPF as well but I can not for the life of me get it to work with any foundations I own!! It’s beautiful on its own but when I apply foundation to it it’s immediate cake face on me. 😭 I’m thinking it’s the amount of SPF I’m applying (1/4 tsp) but I don’t want to use any less.
