      since you made a Peppercorn pepper mill , have you thought of a Salt Grinder out of course salt like Pink Himalayan to go with your pepper mill ? Or would that be impossible since salt tends to dissolve ?

      That's what I was wondering myself. Although a rather crafty alternative to that would be to use the pink rock salt from his earlier vids. the old goth in me loves the dead rose.

    • @SunflowerSpotlight
      @SunflowerSpotlight 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      When I was deep in my goth phase, I got black roses made from glass. I went to this shop in Florida every year and bought something; I’d save up money every year. The last one was free; the trips were hard to make because I was already pretty ill and it didn’t look like I’d be back for years. The glass maker we always talked with and ordered from made the last one and added a rose laying down on its side; the others were standing under a dome. Black petals, dark red stem, dark green leaves. I held the last standing one in my lap all the way home on a 16 hour drive; some had broken before on a plane trip home.
      Weird what things come to mind after years.

      The resin didn’t dissolve into the resin, they just have the same refractive index, as they’re the same thing, so they disappeared.

      There's no way that I'd be getting bored working in my shop. At least not while my tools are working properly. It can become a problem to buy new tools, blades, and
      materials since everything is closed and you only can buy things through the internet. Heavy and/or voluminous things is a problem. money can be a problem
      as well in the end. But in average households there are so many things we can be creative with. Grab any kind of material or object, search on TH-cam, pinterest or
      instructables (I'm sure there are more possibilites) and you find tons of ideas.

    Love your awesome projects Peter! I would love to have an orange tulip in a casting like this for my wife. Would make for an amazing shelf piece. 🧡

    Do a video on what a good starter wood lathe wood be for a beginner looking to get into wood turning. I love your videos and you’ve inspired me.

      I used my Rikon Midi for 10 years!
      It's a great starter. 12" swing 1/2hp and under $400. If you have a Rockler or Woodcraft in your area you can check them out in person.

    I also tried to encapsulate a flower for my grandson. I had some similar problems. I made my pour with too much. So I ended up with a crack and some pockets like you did. I used some plastic polish to get it to shine. I was unfortunate that I only had the one flower to work with. My grandson still liked it though. I helped him to make a small base out of black walnut wood. After all it turned out okay. He liked it so that is what counts. Thanks for the video. Stay well by staying home and take care of yourself and your family. I still have some of the spider web stuff in my shop. I need to get that cleaned up.

    Okay, I'm probably crazy, but the green light underneath is high key giving me nostalgia. I can't place it, but it's beautiful. Amazing work.
