    Constantly practice..
Practice coming back to heart centered awareness, whenever we are distracted..

I'm reading "the power of now" by Elkhart Tolle and I feel so much better in my daily life routine and in my mental health, and I'm asking is it wrong to follow tolle's instructions to be present , I mean does it contradict our beliefs as Muslims? Wish brother abdullah see my comment and tell his opinion .

I've been listening to Elkhart too and thought same. He does seem a very serene person doesn't and explains things well ( I still need to catch up on Abdalla's talk🙈)

I've been reading Eckhart and listening to his lectures for years now and I have to say it made so much sense and I could relate most of what he's saying to Islam. It would be really nice to have a Muslim scholar comment on his books and lectures.

I haven't read any books...I've listened on TH-cam to various topics. I'm not sure if these topics are all under the book you mentioned. Our question wasn't answered, but Abdalla has recommended some reading...let's see.

Contemplation. What do you rember after forgetting? What is the method? What is the information that you remember after recovering from forgetting? What information that was detected after forgetting? Can it be expressed within the spectrum of Islamic concept? What is the benefit of the information that you get after forgetfulnes? Is it beneficial to both physical and spiritual and improves ones faith? Does the method opposes Syariah? Quite interesting.

‏السلام عليكم. ‏جزاك الله كل خير
and thanks for speaking on this topic.
My question is, where does the fitrah resides in brain or heart?
And for that matter difference b/w consciousness/ روح and nafs / نفس and their location. ? Extension of same heart / brain connection question?
Thanks again for theses moments of illumination.
    Asma Yusuf.

How does this relate to mindfulness ? I understood mindfulness from 1st sessions but I understand now that mindfulness is only the beginning of this whole 5 steps process. Is that correct, could someone explain ? Jazakallahu khairan.

This path of contemplating the Quran and applying its knowledge to understand ourselves and the universe is from the beloved Prophet Mohammed pbuh NOT ALI (ra).
