This tutorial shows you how to do two basic transitions and the shoe transition on TikTok and a free online editor.

@@Kapwing i tried to do extra clips through tiktok and it wont allow it. How are they done to sounds that include transitions? It seem to work without sound this way.

Yup. That’s pretty much the basics to video editing. It looks like magic when playing back but the editing part is super tedious. I find adding transition effects with video “splicing” works very well too. But like she mentioned, zoom in the clips and note the time stamp to line them up better. Then make the necessary cuts as needed. Keep playing back and edit until you’re satisfied with the combined clips.

when you make 2 clips, go edit them, hit the back button to make another clip, I thought it deleted any changes made (deleting the edit you just did)?

What about getting the transition to match the words of the audio?
Just some tips for people out there i didn’t know this but how i just started doing transitions on CapCut so u go to Camera then u video film the sound u want and add it to ur sound files then use the sound and make ur transition (I just did the I just killed my ex transition and CapCut really helped)

The music is totally separate from the video file. It can play continuously or broken up. Just as you would with the video clip.
When I make my videos, I usually loop the music but edit for seamless loop so people won’t know.

This is great!! Question are we able to upload 2 different videos recorded on our phone to transition them? Or we have to record the same day in order to do the transition?

You could do a part/whole transition video the same day or another day, as long as the transition is smooth between the two parts :)

You can use Kapwing to make short before and after videos. We have an audio button for voice over and you can upload videos of the space onto the editor.
