I am a disciple of Pandit Netai Bose (disciple of Ustad Mushtaque Ali Khan Sahab)...I am very delighted to have these wonderful pieces here ...I do not know who you are ...but my heartfelt thanks to you sir...
this type of KEDARA in sitar/sarod/surbahar nowhere in india is heard. this is actual been ang senya baj introduced ustd Masit Khan saheb.truly speaking this type of bajna no sitar/surbahar player in India can demonstrate because this type of playing requires learning paradigm.this alap reveals actual rup, barna & rasa of KEDARA.
So rightly said Mr Basu....There was a step by step learning system...Asan,dharan,badan,taal adhyay,Laya adhyay, raag adhyay, and finally "ARTH" adhyay...demonstrating the MEANING of each individual phrase of swaras...involving a great deal of meditation, and involvement...My heartfelt thanks to you...
Prafulla K Basu Please speak some more of the veenkar ang. Pt. Ravishankar's alap is also akin to the beenkar style, yet there are differences with ustadji's alap. What are they? I would be grateful to hear more from you.
@@Surbahar1984 Thanks for the response. I'm interested to know the subtle differences in alap technique between the two 'Senia' gharana-s, if that is, at all, possible in English words. Would you spend a few more words on this, please, when you find time? I'm not a connoisseur, but a serious listener of Indian classical music, especially the vocal genre.
there are and will be many aftab e sitar, padma vibhushan and bharat ratna in sitar but wholesome classicism as reflected and rendered by ustad Mushtaq ali regarding raag incorporation surpasses all by my assessment. he was definitely a master of masters stating from the perspective of a classical vocalist.
Ustad Mustaq Hussain Khan's music has an uncomplicated but lyrical quality which is very soothing. Thank you for uploading his music.
A wonderful Rendition of kedar , overflowing with ras. Hats off the Ustad ...

Knowledge rights! Mom.
Is it just me, or do you think that there's a significant similarity in the playing style of Pt. Nikhil Banerjee, Maa Annapurna Devi and Ustadji?
absolutely right
Truth’s indivisibility.
The instrument sounds more like Surbahar than Sitar.
