I agree completely. However, at the time this was filmed, it was still legal for grandfathered low-power (3 kW for VHF and 150 kW for UHF) TV stations to remain on the air. I believe the FCC had stopped accepting applications for new analog licenses by then.

What I don't understand is how they're able to broadcast so many channels, Are you receiving these via Cable because I wouldn't imagine there isn't the capacity on the UHF band to allow so many analogue channels to broadcast at once, most countries mixed out at about 6 channels OTA, Are you picking them up via VHF also?

Moldova willl switched off Analog TV in March 2020. I live in Ukraine, near Russian border and in my region Analog is alive at least till June, 30, 2020. As I know, last European territory where Analog still alive after 2020 is Western Kazakhstan.

when you have an normal TV antenna without decoder, you have acces to Analog TV
In 2015, we had a normal TV antenna, and I had access to Analog.

And what's ironic is that Turkey did shut down DTT broadcasts (essentially a digital shutdown), yet they're still authorizing analog TV broadcasts.
I miss the days when the TVs were CRTs and having a V-shaped analog antenna on top of them.

Yeah the only country, I think all other rich and 2nd world countries in the world already have digital antenna TV.
Carlos Bautista Bosnia Herzegowina has also still analog Tv. I think they have only DVB-T in their Capital Sarajevo. For Moldova the same I think.
