Brings back lots of good memories, we spent 18 nights at Camping Yelloh in July 2019 when we were there, the site was really busy but you would not know. There is a free shuttle bus into Saint Emillon from the camp site. I still have a couple of bottles of red wine from this holiday and bank balance has not recovered. There are lots of tours to the local Chateau's from the site where you can pick up some great deals on red wine. Hope you had good travel insurance after seeing you both on the exercise area of the site really funny because we done the same but the only difference we had an audience of kids. Hope to get back there some time next year in our caravan. Great seeing all the places you visit and gives lots of options for people planning trips. Looking forward to your next video and see where your going to next, Thanks for all the hard work you both put into the making of these videos.
Hi again Gordon. Yes, we could see that there was plenty of opportunities to visit the local châteaus and the shuttle service to St Emilion. Unfortunately for us, we arrived in the final week of the site being open. Lucky for us, we were able to stay there whilst they gradually 'shut up shop' for the winter. Hey up Terry, hope you're well buddy. Yep, we had a lot of fun on the exercise equipment and the burnt calories allowed for plenty of bread and cheese to be devoured, followed by a pint or 3. Yes, St Emilion is well worth a stopover and visit. The campsite was also great and close by. Take care and thanks again. 👍🍻🥂🥖🧀
Hahaha 😂 ..... brilliant ! Loved the exercise routine 👌 👏 💪 😁 . 52 € for wine !!!! No thanks , I'll stick to my currently being consumed 15 year old Dalmore single malt . Don't ever mix the Grain and the grape mind you , or you'll wake up feeling like you've done ten rounds with Mike tyson !! 🤣 Looks like you had a great fun time ! 😊👍 Take care and as always slàinte 🥃🥃🥃

Hey up Kieran, many thanks for watching another one. Yes, we thought we'd bring a little sunshine to cheer up these wintery evenings. Thanks again and all the best.
Thanks a lot for your excellent video bringing back memories about St. Emilion. My home town has been twinned with a town (distance to St.Emilion c. 35 km) near Bordeaux for almost 50 years, and I have visited the area VERY frequently during those years. Since I have personal access to wine growers' caves, I can avoid the high prices. Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.
Well hello to you in Bavaria, we hope this finds you well. Wow, privileged access to the wine caves, you are very lucky indeed; we're certainly a little jealous lol, brilliant! Bordeaux is a fantastic area, stunning scenery and of course the wine is pretty special. Many thanks for watching and for leaving the comment, it's very much appreciated. Take care over there and all the best. Tony and Claire.
Hi again, yes, we've certainly managed to find some great locations and highly recommend them. Many thanks again and take care. All the very best, Tony and Claire.
That's incredibly kind of you to say so Valerie. Yes, definitely, Claire has a great laugh and giggle, very infectious. It's especially good when she laughs at her own jokes lol. Many, many thanks again for your kind comment and support, it's truly appreciated. All the very best, Tony (and Claire). X

@@adventurevanfreddie Thanks for taking the time to reply. I really admire your journey and travels. I did a lot of work on a house in Puisseguin years ago. Immediately fell in love with the area. Just love France. It has it all. Best wishes for the future guys. 👊
@@fidelcastro9579, our thanks is with you. Wow, sounds like you've had a great time in France yourself. That city looked wonderful with the little roads and fine buildings and omg that French food again....so good. Then we saw the Keystone cops on the outdoors fitness equipment lol. Great video though. France still being difficult with travel but thankfully our German trip looking good to go end of February. Happy new Year to you both.
Haha, now that's made us laugh, we've been called a few things in the past, but never the Keystone cops lol, brilliant!! Yep, a diet of cheese, cured meats, bread and wine is very difficult to beat, however, the weight we both put on in France is also difficult to lose lol. Great to see you guys back in France ! Some of the places you’ve managed to find for stop overs look idyllic especially next to lakes. Saint Emilion looks beautiful, looks like great area to take the bikes, and have wine tasting cycle tour !
Hi there Tom, yes, not one average or bad stop over, all were absolutely amazing. Hmmm, great idea; cycling wine tasting tours, love it, we wish we'd taken the bikes now lol. Many thanks for watching and for leaving the comment, all the best.
@@adventurevanfreddie highly recommend a wine tasting tour with a bike , we did one Provence a few years ago, it was out of season so not to hot, it was great fun! , we went with some french locals who were our friends. I can’t remember getting back to the campsite though….

I’m determined to get back over the channel for a French adventure this year - haven’t been since a Somme battlefield trip in 2018. St Emilion looks fabulous. Thanks for another lovely vid guys.
Hi there Simon. Let's hope that you do manage to get back to France and yes, St Emilion is a beautiful little city and well worth a visit. I bet the Somme battlefield tour was interesting, we've camped along the Somme a few times. Great area with rich in military history. Take care and all the best.
What a beautiful wine town but like yourselves too expensive. Loving the sexacise machine it made me laugh buckets. How long were you away in France ? Thanks I love to follow your adventures. Cheers Richie.
Hey up Richie.... Hahaha, sexacise, that's a new name for it lol, I only recommend doing that exercise for a few minutes, it's too much effort lol. Absolutely Aidan, it will be on the next video, however, if you search for Yelloh Village camping, St Emilion, you'll find it buddy. Many thanks for watching and all the best. Tony.
Hi David, a very happy New year to you also. To be fair, in France we only took our small camera set up so didn't take too many photos, however, if I remember, I will include a small selection in the video at the end of this France series. In the next series we go back to Skye and the cameras are with us everywhere lol. Many thanks for watching and for leaving the comment, your support is always appreciated. Take care David and all the best.
Lovely to see you guys again. We hope to go back to France next month. Have you thought about an ACSI campin card? Really brings down the cost of off season campsites. looking forward to the next episode.. Bon Voyages.
Hey up Baloo, hope you're well buddy. Brilliant, let's hope that some of the restrictions lift and you manage to get to France, I'm sure that you will have a great time. Yes, we have the ACSI book and card, definitely helps shave a few pennies off the cost. Safe travels when you get to them and have a cracking time buddy; not too much cheese and wine, it's a bugger to lose the French pounds gained! Take care and all the best.
Just catching up with your last 2 videos , brilliant as always ...hey Tony , just a quick question about your Van , the water tank on your roof , as its black and atracks the heat , is the water warm enough for a shower , or do you still need to heat the water , thanks in advance , looking forward to the next video ..Ah summer here in NZ and we're cracking about 30-ish where iam ..
Hey up Malkie, hope you're well. Sounds like you're having a great spot of weather!! As for your question regarding our black water tank, probably like yourself, I have watched plenty of YT vids showing people using black storage containers (of some description) on the roof to heat the water. Unfortunately, for a system like that to truly work, you'd need a very shallow tank (unlike ours) and even then, I would imagine that it would struggle to get the temperature above ambient. Although the temperature in France reached 38, it wasn't enough to warm our water to a comfortable temperature. The other problem is that as soon as you start driving, the air flow starts cooling it back down. In short, parked up directly in sunlight in a hot location for the entire day, yes, most probably comfortable enough to freshen up. Many thanks for watching and for leaving the comment, stay safe over there and safe travels when you get to them buddy.
Hi there Alyce, many thanks for watching and for leaving the comment. This particular series was filmed between September and October over a period of just over 4 weeks although that included a few visits to our friends. Many thanks again and hope you enjoy our little channel. All the very best, Tony and Claire.
Thanks for the getting back to us, you really did well for the weather. We've converted the same van as yours, & we're thinking of putting the heavy duty springs on. Have you found it's improved the ride and ground clearance. Thanks again.
@@alyc9473 Hi, yes, the weather was great, even for France; we chose a great few weeks. As for the rear springs, yes, definitely more stable on the rear and around 30mm lift. I did consider the airbag suspension system, but I preferred the mechanical no nonsense, big piece of metal way lol. Really easy job to do on your drive. If you get stuck or need any help/advice, you know where we are. All the best and take care. Tony.
Yes, absolutely, a good wine is simply a good wine. There were bottles of wine in St Emilion worth more than our van lol, and there was definitely a mark-up on some of the prices (as expected for a tourist area) as we saw the same wine a lot cheaper in neighbouring towns. Great place to visit though, beautiful.

Hi Just found you guys and really enjoying this series. What time of year did you go. Thanks
Tony.
Was this in the summer??
September into October Michael. Thanks for watching.
@@adventurevanfreddie thanks 😊
Good wine in France is never cheap, if it is the French use it only for cooking whilst Brits drink it.
@@adventurevanfreddie France I'd say is Europes jewel the topography is constantly changing. My favourite areas are around 100 meters above see level, enjoy your adventure as its grim here!
@@johnrocker2986 Good morning John. Yes, we definitely agree there, the landscapes in France are varied and beautiful, from epic mountains to deep valleys. Absolutely stunning place, and you don't have to travel too far to experience the changes in the landscapes. Take care and all the very best.
