Hi there David, many thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave the kind comment, we're glad that you enjoyed the footage through the windscreen. What a spectacular driving experience this was, truly impressive and very scenic...just how we like it.

Great video as always guys. That was a steep old drive there😮. Lourdes buildings were lovely 👌. Good music as always, we had some snow today mostly on the hills and mountains but far down them and a couple of showers throughout the afternoon 🥶🥶chilly. Take care and stay safe lovely guys ❤❤

Winter has definitely arrived on Skye by the sounds of it...you make sure that you keep warm and cosy our lovely👍👌.
Yes, Lourdes is a very strange place to visit and explore, a beautiful cathedral surrounded by a very tacky town...such a shame, however, it was worth a visit just to see the impressive architecture💙❤️.
Take care as always and we'll hopefully see you soon. Take care and big hugs, Tony and Claire. 👍💙❤️🚐📷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Now this one turned me on . Although I'm not a fan of ticcy taccy shops the roads and the mountain scenery put me in my element . Yes , I've done the 500 and Applecross but it doesn't compare to the Alps and the pyrenees . Great vlog and I hope you're turning your mate on to campervans . Take care all and keep safe .

Good evening Ken, glad you enjoyed this one. Yes, the roads are simply incredible in the Pyrenees; so, so scenic and great to drive. I think it's the sheer scale of the mountains that makes the driving experience so amazing......it will soon be the both of you driving these roads, especially if the tunnel doesn't open. As for our friends flipping over to a camper, it remains to be seen lol.
Take care mate and we hope that you are well. All the best.

Hi guys. Nice to see you back up in the mountains again. The scenery is great. Lourdes looks very touristy but I suppose people have to make a living. Take care guys.

Good morning Geoff, hope you're well buddy. Indeed, the scenery is out of this world and you have to constantly remind ourselves that we've driven here, simply spectacular. Yes, like you say, a beautiful area, but Lourdes is definitely a tourist trap. Nice, but not that nice. Take care and all the very best as always. Tony and Claire.

Hi there, many thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply. Yes, a spectacular sight, Lourdes is beautiful. Indeed and like you say, a few less souvenir shops and it would feel a lot more special. Many thanks again and all the very best, Tony and Claire.

Tell your friends to get a duvalay. It takes me no more than 7 minutes to get out of bed & be back for day use.
I keep my duvalay unrolled in pop top
    My procedure is.
At bedtime. I roll duvalay up by keep pulling towards me rolling up. I find that easier than trying to pull it all down in its flat state. Then obviously un roll on to rock & roll bed
3 mins max. Start to finish.
Morning. Roll up. Then put up top & unrolled it. I keep a 6ft cane in roof to push cover flat.
This takes me no longer than 7 minutes
I keep that up there permanently. When not away

Hi there, many thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave the informative comment regarding the Duvalay. To be fair, we'd never heard of one until your message and after a quick Google search, we can see how good they'd be for a small camper with with no storage space. Definitely something for the guys to consider, thank you!
Sorry for the late reply and many thanks again. Take care and all the very best, Tony and Claire.

    Good evening guys
    Another great watch guys,
Lourdes architecture looks amazing, but to many tacky gift shops by the looks of things, shame. I think the forward facing camera shots from Freddie are good. C u next week 👍🐸

Good morning our friend, hope you're well buddy👍. Yes, Lourdes is a spectacular sight, it's just a shame that the cathedral is surrounded by the 'tacky shops' as you say. It certainly would be better without them!
Glad you liked the footage through the windscreen, it's just a shame that the camera doesn't take in the full experience...wow🏞️👍.
Have a great week and sorry for the late reply. Take care and all the very best, Tony and Claire. 👍💙❤️🚐📷

Evening both hope you are well. I feel that Lourdes is only worth a visit for religious reasons, otherwise it’s a very ordinary town. Not somewhere that would interest me.
However the Pyrenees never cease to surprise🎉🎉 me, the scenery below cloud level is amazing. I think this adventure suited you having two additional persons around and especially as they are good friends. It’s nice to share your experiences occasionally.
Great to see the additional names on the credits, Gareth and I were getting a bit lonely
Take care of yourselves ❤❤🚐 🇪🇸🇫🇷

Good evening Al, we're both good thank you very much, we hope you are too! Yep, a little disappointed with Lourdes, especially as we'd heard such wonderful things about the place; each to their own we suppose, however, we're in no rush to revisit.
You are absolutely right, the Pyrenees are simply stunning, such incredible scenery and the roads.....well, some of the very best driving roads we've ever been on👍.
Yes, a great adventure to share with friends and the experience, well, it just kept getting better.
Yes, some fantastic support here and it's so very much appreciated, we're incredibly lucky and in a good way, it's nice to see that you and Gareth are no longer alone (but you will always be on the top lol).
Our thanks as always and all the very best to you wherever you are. Cheers, Tony and Claire. 👍💙❤️🚐📷

Spot on with your comments on van size....we went from our crouch down Vivaro to a Transit in which we can stand up ...with permanent beds...such a upgrade and certainly more comfortable...your comments on Scotland...check out the Xpawers Scottish Highlands vlogs...I'm sure you will both be impressed by their photography and overall quality of their vlogs...and keep yours coming...absolutely brilliant....Campervan V Caravan...ummm not contest...Nos Dha from Cornwall 😉👌

Hi there, many thanks for watching. Yep, the Volkswagen is certainly a great looking van, but definitely more of a 'day van' than a camper van. Even with the pop top, they're not that practical really, especially when it's windy and cold. Yep, we've followed the expawers for years and they always produce great content👍.
Haha, yes, caravan or camper, we know which one we'd choose! Many thanks again and all the very best, Tony and Claire 👍💙❤️🚐📷

Great wee video ...... i love those kind of twisty passes. Freddie done well 👏 👌. I completely agree with you about the vw campers. They look good but have absolutely no space or storage and making a bed and taking it down every day would do my head in . Bigger vans and fixed double beds all the way ! 😂😁💪. Hope you are both well and as always slàinte 💙 🤎 🥃 🥃🥃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇫🇷

Good evening our friend. Indeed, it's very much all about the driving experience in the Pyrenees👍, slow going for poor old Freddie🤔. However, he's as strong as an ox and athough the same speed as an ox, he's built with love....... and a fixed bed lol👍🤣.....and space👍🚐.
As always, slàinte, cheers and all the very best mate. 👍💙❤️🚐🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃🥃🥃

You should have tried Parkfoot Holiday Park at Pooley Bridge. We were there from 11 to 14 November (last week) the facilities are beautiful and pitches good. They have 3 nights for 2 at this time of the year and shut tomorrow for a month. But lovely position for easy walking along the lake and into village. Another option there is Hillcroft caravan site also in Pooley bridge and open until January. The toilet block there is award winning and amazing. Not piped music but bird song and animal sounds , beautiful and lovely serviced pitches.

Good morning. We think that you may have posted this comment on this video by mistake lol. However, by coincidence maybe, we have also stayed at Pooley Bridge and Hillcroft in the beautiful Lake District. Great locations and good sites. Take care, Tony and Claire.

    Good evening guys,
If it's Sunday it must be time for church ⛪️ 🙏,
But NO it's AVF time 😅.
    (God forgive me 😂).
I have to agree with you on lourdes, a stunning church for sure, but ruined by the cheap tat sold in the shops, and not too sure about the long queues for holy water, kinda like a holy lottery 😮. My lovely wife and I disagree some on lourdes, she has been twice and had a great time and been very blessed.
    Stunning drive over the mountains,.
Looking forward to next week's park up.
And looking forward to my stickers, it will be like an early Christmas present 😂🎉😅.
As always please drive safe and GOD BLESS. 😎🕊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      👍🤣, yep, it's AVF time🤣🚐!!
Yes, Lourdes is a strange place, a lovely church and architecture, however, the shops.....wow, total tat like you say.
Yes, we can definitely understand why people would like to visit, but we were a little disappointed to be fair. The town felt a little rundown and now we've visited, we very much doubt that we will return.
As for the mountains and views, we'll take them over Lourdes every time👍🏞️. Thank you Douglas for your kind generosity and you'll have to let us know when your stickers arrive👍. As always, God bless you both and have a great week. 🙏👍💙❤️🚐 Your friends, Tony and Claire. 👌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙❤️
