Who were the folk dancers with the ostrich-plume hand fans @ 32:05? They weren't bad-looking, either! Although, their dancing was a little more sedate than the dance troupe with the red-white-and-blue hand fans @ 35:00.
I've been watching this parade since the early 60's......this year was the most despicable showing of a Christmas parade I've ever seen. It didn't even have the feel of Christmas. Where were the big sign announcing the Grand Marshall, The Mayor, etc and where were the Hollywood stars.......this made me sad and tearful.
Sadly, they now over-rely on staged musical interludes, just like the Macy's Parade. Although, it was nice to see Kiki Ebsen (Buddy Ebsen's daughter) making an appearance in the parade (@ 1:10:00) as a tribute to all the years her father graced it with his presence.🙂
