Yep! I remember watching it via old Channel 11 (WPIX, NYC) as hosted by Lee Meriwether and Bob Eubanks. As more currently telecast by CW, however? A complete and utter travesty. Even worse than the way NBC telecasts the modern Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, in some respects!

The Santa lane parade isn't the same as it was in the beginning. The so called stars today don't hold a candle to stars of yesterday. Its sad times sure have changed.
Yep! It was undeniably far better when it was the Santa Claus Lane Parade hosted by Lee Meriwether and Bob Eubanks. They didn't over-rely on an over-abundance of lip-synching stage performers (a la the modern Macy's Thanksgiving Parade). And the marching bands got to play their _live_ music for longer than one minute!

I remember when Hollywood Blvd. had all the Christmas lights and decorations above the street. So pretty.
