I am disabled and am doing all I can and know it will not be enough. I am ok with this because I know YHWH has control and he will make sure I have enough. He is the Great Provider that love us and when you put your faith in him fear has no place in your life. Fear is real but I know he is greater.

Love that saying Faith over Fear. Fear gives doubt. Once you regain the knowledge and skills, it gives you a slight sense of control in an unpredictable situation.

I’m older. I’ve lived thru lots of bad times, inflation, gas shortages, job loss, sick kid etc etc. Never in any of these times, did things ever get as bad as what I keep hearing from the doom and bloomers. Ive never panicked. I’ve always kept a food and supply stock, grown a garden etc. we’ve always gotten through. This too shall pass, it always does.

I feel we should focus on the trust of our Father God. Staying in His Word, and a solid intimacy with Him, and to have wisdom to know what to expect and do, also believe He shall take care of His own. We shall not fear. ❤️
Thank you Annie and Josh for sharing. God Bless you all and all whom in the comments.

Memorizes Proverbs 3:5, 6, " Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." And Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I repeat these verses often and believe them.

You hit the nail on the head!! Thank you! We have to believe that God has this under control...without faith, we don't have hope. There is so much negative in this world right now and it is so important to find the joy and good, because it is out there. I follow a number of homesteading channels on TH-cam and I find I'm not watching some of their videos, because they are negative. We farm (small, for our family). We are preparing and have been for years. I believe we are all going to be facing harder times, but I truly believe we are NOT supposed to live in fear. I believe we are supposed to be wise, cautious, be in prayer and fellowship, and show God's love. Thank you for sharing this video!

Love this video! Thank you. My peace comes from first preparing for what is LIKELY to happen first and focus on that, not on what I can't do right now. I live in the northeast, we are highly LIKELY to have snowstorms and we often lose power. And so I am prepared fr that - alternate light source, water supply (no power, no well pump), a generator and gas for it, a camp stove and fuel, things to do to with no electricity, things to eat without major cooking, batteries stored, and everything all in one place so that I know exactly where it is when the lights go out. This I know will happen and so that is the priority prep. Then I move to to whatever is next LIKELY. Focusing in on every possibility leads to fear, preparing for what is most likely leads to peace filled empowerment. Thank you for this encouraging video.

Thank You from the Bottom of my Heart... since my Mom passed, coming July 16, 4 years ago... I've been worried about not having enough for my Dad, and my Sweetheart, Jerry (together 14+ years) I know what I like to eat, and how much, but when thinking what They need, I get really stressed. I am going to sit down for a moment and do the math, and try to ask Them what They Like and Need.

I’m watching video now. I’m thinking how helpful Philippians 4:8 is. When fear tries to consume us, go through the list and make your mind come up with things that are pure, lovely, etc. when you are finished, you have the peace that passes all understanding.

We've tried to double our veggie growing, we have eggs and turkey in the freezer. We can butcher a steer when we need it. I went through my stash last year and also learned what I do use and don't use. Raising as many herbs as I can. I found a local dairy to get jersey milk to make stuff. I support a local orchard when it's apple season and peach season.

I agree, we cut back on cable awhile ago. Lately I was reminded thru another you tuber about drying my clothes outside instead of using the dryer. The sun does a wonderful job of drying. I know how to make my own bread. I love to cook but don't always have the time. I work 3 12 hour shifts a week. I mostly take my lunch to work to not spend money. Every little bit helps. I also can, shop the sale items when I can... people shouldn't be made afraid, I agree the world is unstable and there is a fear of the unknown. People need to talk to our elders who have gone thru times like this before. Nancy from nebraska

Annie and Josh, this was excellent. I have got myself into those areas of funk from watching videos , social media, and so on, that have put me in into a place of having a "grey day". But I shut it all off and go outside and fall back onto my motto of "there is no sense worrying about it because you can't change it and 1/2 of it doesn't come true anyway". But still, I understand. I have prepared all my adult life (I have 2 years or more of garden stuff canned at all times), but I really do love your last point though. As of late, I have had those thoughts of looking out past the year, the two years and what would I do...and it always comes back to that. Prepare your stores and yourself, yes. But pray as well. Take care, keep smiling and God Bless! Have yourselves a blessed day.

Fretting and worrying produces nothing. I learned long ago, when my kids (both of them) had years of life or death medical issues, that there are just some things I can’t control. I do what I can do and take it one step, day, minute at a time. What you focus on, expands…. So focus on hope and peace ❤️

Thank you for a wonderful, thought provoking video. You guys are a great encouragement to many, and seeing the way you are raising your children…teaching them how to work and thrive in the real world is impressive. Our kids are grown and have families of their own, but they learned early on to be hard working and appreciative of God’s provisions. We went through some difficult times when they were growing up, but God was always faithful to provide. He continues to do that, as we do our best to both plan ahead and share with others also. I appreciate you guys!

Every single day I do something more to be prepared and every single thing I do brings me more at peace. I cannot control the rest of the world but I can control my little world at home. Currently I am building a chicken coop as my class is watching eggs, waiting for them to hatch. Once they hatch I will have chickens for the first time. I just started growing more types of beans like soy and broad beans to have an additional protein source. I am prepared for food. The price of petrol hasn't really bothered me because I am lucky enough to live 1km from the school I teach at.
I have massive anxiety issues but for this I'm not anxious because I know I am doing all I can added in I don't watch the news as it is constantly the bad going on in the world.

I have had this talk with my spouse because he doesn't really involve himself with the news. And I said you know.. not to be a conspiracy person but MAJOR changes have been happening not just with gas but with food. And he agreed with me on keeping our eyes more open than usual.
Last night we went to the store for chlorine tablets. In my head I think - while we're here let's get other stuff. We end up getting more food and bath products. We walked by the egg aisle and it was damn near empty. I don't necessarily NEED more eggs but since so many were gone I grabbed some.
My thought process moving forward (and my spouse totally agrees) that anytime you're at the store, if you can afford to, always grab a little extra. So when the time comes and some things may be harder to get, at least you'll have backups.
My mindset now, is rather than be 'in fear' just be more prepared and pay attention to prices and portions in the stores.

Thank you for this! I find so much joy in learning new skills, preparing for life’s circumstances, providing for my family, etc. I’m not usually doing it with some doomsday situation in mind (and I live in Louisiana and we have MORE than our share of storms…). I just want the Lord to be pleased with how I have stewarded and taken care of my family. And it just so happens that those things also benefit me in hard times, as well, but that’s not why I do it. Similarly- I don’t believe in Jesus just so I won’t go to hell…I believe in Jesus, because it blesses me with the sweetest, most fruitful life of peace that I can then share with others! 💖

In 2002 I installed a bi-forcated antenna on my home. 72 free channels if I ever want to watch. I haven't paid a cable bill in 20+ years. It would do Americans minds good to cut the cord! You must also be judicious with the TH-cam content you consume because watching other people's massive expensive grocery hauls and freebie gifts from sponsors being evaluated can make you feel Insufficient in your own journey. Most of us have limited budgets, and some, limited physical abilities, so help one another an you can only buy what you can afford and do what you can do.

This is a great subject because I find myself trying to be prepared but struggling to keep my mind in a positive place while I’m doing it because I get caught in that constant state of wanting to prep even when I have enough in reserves it’s created Some fear factor because I’m trying to prep for everything that is obvious that we would need and diving in deep or four other home products as well as food and it does unfortunately create some anxiety and it’s hard not to stay in that mindset

Avoiding tv and social media is the best advice. I promise, you will still hear about what is going on in the world, but much of it we have no control over anyway so do you really need to see footage of every earthquake, flood, fire, drought, hurricane, war, etc? No. Empathy fatigue and compassion fatigue are a real thing and can cause depression. Add that to fear about the future and we all become a hot mess of emotions, which affects our abilities to respond to circumstances in a wise manner. If people can't take care of themselves it will only make matters worse and the powers that be will just assume more control over our lives when we prove we are incapable of taking care of ourselves or making decisions. Annie's advice is brilliant... stop feeding the fear, then take baby steps to put yourself in a better position. You can't control everything but knowing you have controlled the things you do have the ability to is empowering and calming. Control what you can, and don't worry about the rest.

None of this bothers me. I lived through the early 80’s with bank loans at 14-18%. My parents and In laws were children of the depression. I learned many frugal tools during that time. I was a young mom of 5. I was grateful for their help. My mother in law taught me how to preserve food.

God is in control -in all things. Our emotions can be driven to fear over things in life. We just have to pray for guidance. If an urgency is pulling at any of you, take it to God and pray. Make those lists and work towards your goals.
I definitely have found a peace in preparation. It was not always so. I'm better each and every day, in faith and grace. We all develop in time, our time, take no shame in your in progress. God bless each of you.
