    Miss Pannu thanks for this video...it was very helpful both for buying the quilling shiner and also for doing the waterproofing
    I have one question....
    Would you be able to tell me how long the bottle of quilling shiner last???

    • @PannusQuillingPoint
      @PannusQuillingPoint  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think applying shinner on regular size jhumka/dome, we will need 1ml of shinner, so we can apply that around 25-28 domes. And it also depends on the piece you are applying how big it is.

    This is really useful..thank you so much.can we use single coat only of all the three products?
    Or do we have to do 2-3 coats?

    • @PannusQuillingPoint
      @PannusQuillingPoint  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hii Ayushi, I am happy you got some value from this video. See, we can give single coat, but for best results atleast go for 2 coats.. that's what I suggest...take 1 - 2 hrs gap between each coat... Within 24hrs you will get good result...

    Hi. I tried using clear wood varnish for making the product water proof. However after drying it still felt sticky when I held it in the hand. Wanted to confirm that the varnish that you have recommend does not make the product sticky after the varnish dries

    You do all 3 steps to make the product waterproof or any of the one will work?

    • @PannusQuillingPoint
      @PannusQuillingPoint  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a process. All steps are important. In that sequence.
      Only thing is you can replace MODPODGE by RESIN, I just avoid resin as it is liquid plastic and I don't want to add plastic products to environment.
      But resin would give more waterproofing

    Hi Mam
    This video is very helpful and I'll try this method.
    I've used just 2 coats of quilling shiner on my earrings (before I watched this video).
    They turned out a little bit sticky even after drying for a few days.
    They are waterproof though. I tested them under running water and they were fine.
    Will it be ok if I put Mod podge on it? Please help

    • @PannusQuillingPoint
      @PannusQuillingPoint  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Happy to know this video was helpful to you. The Quilling shinner/varnish I use dries in maximum 1 hr. May be the quality of the shinner you used made the Earrings sticky. And yes you can use Modpodge on the shinner no problem

    • @PannusQuillingPoint

      Fevicol MR is little bit more thinner than SH if you are using MR try it without adding water.
      I prefer SH cause it's more stronger adhesiveness and you can easily get it in hardware stores.

    Is there any difference between QUILLING Shiner & paper varnish ( which is used for decoupage)?

    • @PannusQuillingPoint
      @PannusQuillingPoint  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hii, There is no difference. Many brands you will find use either of them. Even it is also said as Quilling glaze...
      For Decoupage, Mostly Modge is used (Glass - Luster - Luster)
      Plaid Inc Mod 1201.
      For water proofing Decoupage I think Quilling Varnish is used.
      For best guidance you can contact
      "shree_ creation" on Instagram. She does awesome Decoupage, and has a good knowledge about Decoupage.
      Thanks for commenting dear❤️
