Oh man I feel bad laughing at your wife's story lol. It's a bummer that those peppers didn't come with the stripes that make it look like a candy cane, but maybe your wife would have eaten more of them if it looked like a candy cane for sure lol. Hopefully growers will continue stabilizing this awesome pepper so we can get some pretty consistent stripes on ours. I like to manually chop this ones very fine then mix them with some lime juice and finely chopped onion and little bit of salt or no salt then let it rest a couple hours for onion to cook and flavors to merge. I can assure you my family can't have enough of it this way, it is so hot and refreshing at the same time!
