i dont unbderstand how the manage to butcher such a good title, i mean double dragon was art, 2 was not perfect but in some areas it was better than the first one (no elbow cheat to beat the whole game) but the 3rd.. from poor story to clunky mechancis, one of the thigns that bothered me the most was the way characters moved, as if the game is lagging, horrible... double dragon has never been the same since.
I played this arcade back in the day and I swear you had to add more coins just to use the store in this game and it was bullshit on how theres almost no way back in my time to beat this game with one quarter so I passed on this game cause also it wasn't the same as part 1 and 2 so I never liked this game
Seeing this for the first time it came out and no one was lining up to play it I said FORGET IT, looks like $hit! Then I headed to the Final Fight game that saved me from total disappointment. How could they ruin such a franchise?
Ain't never seen this in the arcade. An glad I didn't. Only seen 1 and 2. First time I seen 3 was on Nintendo. I rather play that over this an that's saying a lot.
Appreciate it :-). This took alot of practice it look like this. I died ALOT very early in the practice runs as well, so no worries. Practice makes perfect :-D.
Great gameplay. DD3 is the most difficult game I ever played in arcades, and I've played a lot. I wonder if it's possible to finish it without buying the upgrades.
@@ZZtheDark yeah, I know it, the american version is a lot easier. In recent years I've found a corean player called Janet, he did some unbelievable 1cc speedruns for the american version. 😳
I'm really confused about the movement of the sprites in this game. Seems per-character instead of per-pixel, but that must not have been a technical decision given that the hardware should have been more than capable. Having never played the game myself, was it for gameplay reasons? Does the quantized movement make it easier to judge how/when to attack or something? Like, were they going for a more tactical game and maybe it is actually really fun when you figure things out? Ultimately, the movement makes it look like a home-port of a better arcade game.
As a huge DD fan I gotta be honest that DD3 for both Nes/Genesis/Arcade despite being totally 2 different games I find DD3 is by far the most disappointing entry in the franchise. Many fans dislike DD3 in the franchise and in today's modern day it never got any re-release digitally on any major consoles.
This has gotta be one of the first arcade games I've seen where there is no score counter.
10:50
The music, the synth, just sounds like a dream. Its so good!

Yeah they really missed the mark on this one. The NES version was alright though.

@@EvilishDem0nic8732WhatItDo it was a pioneer on "pay to win" so common on mobile apps now a days lol
Combatribes should have been the third DD.
Look the movement. So laggy. even in the old times. Miss DD1 and 2.
This is soooooo different than the SNES version... even the music
There wasn't a version of this game for SNES, they only ported it to the NES and Genesis.
@@ryline666 yah I meant NES

Exactly, 1st and 2nd are solid gold, but this 3rd one is a total disappointment

Well if you have enough quarters/credits it is though! ;)
The Japanese ver. doesn't have upgrades and it was a straight forward beat em up. Check it out.

Why couldn’t they just use the same engine as the previous games

What’s with the charity crap. The charities themself would probably take the money and run. 🤪🤪🤪
Double dragon 3 was simply awful,..... Still a huge fan of the series tho
Como se le hace para correr
Cool graphics but the bosses are pure cheese. In NES they're brutal, it's the best version.
Not saying too much since the nes version is a piece of crap too.
This game is 100% trash the enemy cheat so much who ever make this game need to go back to school i hate when people make trash games
Y asi fue como se arruinó un gran gran juego fin
