But there are a handful of reactors that really appreciate XG differently just by their observations of what they're listening to without knowing anything about them. This MV is mugnify's first XG exposure and he immediately picked up what makes XG different.

I've seen some hate from a few reactors and you don't see them is probably because they either take their reaction down or they don't get noticed but they're out there. Mugnify is one of a handful of reactors that actually listened to a MV and made observations that are relevant. You can tell he actively appreciates what he is looking at. This specific MV is his first exposure to XG and he immediately picked up what these girls are doing.

Man XG has that 90s/2000s RB hip-hop on lock. They filmed the vid to recreate that feel. They are like a dance crew that can sing and rap. They love TLC, Aliyah, Michael Jackson all the greats! I have been rocking with XG for nearly 2 years. it is like they are multiple groups. Their rap game is immaculate. They can dance like it is light work. and of course they can sang
"Left Right" charted on the Top 40 U.S. Pop Radio chart for a record 13 consecutive weeks which was an all-time record for any Asian girl group ever. It was also named as one of the TOP 100 Songs of 2023 by Rolling Stone, Spotify, Tidal and ELLE. Even R&B legend Ciara jumped on the official remix of Left Right with Jackson Wang. XG is the flyest baddest crew out there. Once you go down the XG rabbit hole you don't ever turn back like all the other millions of us.

I particularly love the rap/song 'Show You Can' the rap line did for the professional dance crew Tsubakill. A throwback sound to me that just hits.

i feel your sentiment brother, here in our country same as most western hemisphere, they really dont cultivate much of our talent here, that is why our music and entertainment industry had been in a lifeline for a long time now, shame though as most people thought we got most of the talented people, we just literally have no programs at all to cultivate them and make a group like XG, well we do have one group and thats about it, nothing else at all, well not gonna name them here not want to get any attention at all,

Many years ago, I attempted to start a non-profit org to cultivate a safe environment to train select young people in music and other forms of art, but I couldn't get funding. They've killed these kinds of programs in public schools, and our society is not willing to invest in programs that promote the arts. It's very sad, because many other countries have created a thriving economic model with an artistic society that America has made the biggest contribution in creating and promoting.With that being said, XGALX has the blueprint and these girls are executing the plan with flawless precision. I love these girls so much and admire what they are accomplishing by going through the rigorous training they were given in order to do what they are doing now. They are on the verge of breaking the wheel that has been traditional idol norms and setting a new standard for the idols that come down the line.

You mentioned the "schools" aka the companies that teach all of these talented young people in East Asian countries. Well, these companies and their trainees are all modeled off of the South Korean company SM, who invented the modern training system that produces the high level of quality we see in kpop, and from "international" groups like XG. Lee Sooman, the original founder of SM and the 'godfather' of kpop, actually based most of his training system off of Motown and the Chitlin' Circuit (where early black American artists would be put to the test on a nightly basis by fickle crowds- this would produce not only great artists, but *SHOW MEN* like Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix (who played the Circuit in Little Richard's band), and James Brown). Lee Sooman was a fairly well-known Korean musician and singer, but his true passion was consuming old school r&b and, later, hip hop- he immersed himself in American Black culture. He even traveled the US extensively in his younger years to cultivate his future plans and to meet with and study American music-makers in order to make the end-product feel more authentic (the result and ethics of which is still being debated by many- is Lee Sooman and his legacy just as an exploitative culture vulture, as an opportunistic genius, or somewhere in between?).
However, going off of your comments in this video, it has to be said that the true archirtect of these types of training regimens, these "schools" that scout talent and then systematically train them, is really Motown. Motown is what inspired Lee Sooman to create the kpop system. Motown is what Lee Sooman wanted to model, but in his home country of South Korea.
in the '60s and '70s, Berry Gordy and his Motown label had gotten down a system of producing artists and hits akin to the precision of a factory. The innovation of Motown, though, was in how it groomed it's artists and prepared them for superstardom right out of the gate. This included not only teaching his artists how to sing and dance, but also the more intangible aspects of stardom like teaching acting and how to work a camera effectively (to convey stage presence through the medium of film and not just on stage), etiquette classes to improve manners and prepare them for a more American audience (i.e., white-friendly lol), speech and PR lessons, the nuances of leading a live band, with choreography, vs just a studio band etc etc. This helped Motown literally transcend from just another small black-owned label making "urban music" for black people, to becoming an internationally known "Hit Factory" that produced international superstar after international superstar, and worldwide hit after worldwide hit. I mean, just look at the roster of artists they had: The Jackson 5, and later solo Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Temptations... and the list goes on. And the amount of hits? A Motown artist probably featured in the Hot 100 of almost every weekly Billboard Chart for 3 decades. It also didn't hurt that Berry and Motown also cultivated some of the best writers, composers, musicians, and producers of the time. Racial stereotypes of the American '60s and '70s meant that there was a glass ceiling for talented black technicians and musicians at the major labels in the mainstream, so Berry Gordy exploited that fact and took all of that talent at a discount. Just as an example, Motown hired a young Stevie Wonder as just a song-writer and he immediately began churning out hit after hit for other Motown artists as a writer and composer behind the scenes... Motown had Stevie Wonder, one of the most prolific and talented musicians of ALL TIME sitting in their stable as just a writer and composer. Talk about a talented roster.
I say that to say this: the undeniable talent and success produced by Berry Gordy's system is what inspired Lee Sooman. Lee Sooman didn't just want the hits, he wanted the entire package. He wanted to make groups of Korean Michael Jacksons. He wanted to make girl groups like the Korean Supremes on steroids. This is what birthed the modern kpop "system." I don't think even Lee Sooman dreamed of how massively successful and influential his system would become. But just like Motown, it wasn't all unicorns and rainbows- there was a ton of exploitation at Motown behind the scenes. A ton of unfair record deals because black artists had really nowhere else to go if they craved stardom. A ton of scandals. A ton of broken dreams and potential talent who never made it. It seems like Lee Sooman also copied this part of Motown as well because all of the same exploitative practices of Motown were kept in kpop, but only worsened because of how older labor laws worked, because of how influence and power work in South Korea, and because Korean (and, in general, East Asian) "work" culture is also just inherently exploitative.
There's much more to the story of kpop, but your comment inspired me to write this brief history of where these training programs really came from lol

Their main producer is Jakobs (Simon) and he is the main boss and creator of XG. There were multiple producers who helped with this song...just look at the main credits at the end of the video.

No problem,.the OG alphaz have nothing but respect for all people out there listening to XG. Simon is half Korean and Japanese but listened to a lot of r&b and hip hop growing up so it shows with the music with XG. XG also listens to early 90's and 2000's music.. Simon picked the right ladies to make this kind of music

First time XG? Ok, executive summary for you and your subscribers:
XG is short for Xtraordinary Girls, their label is XGALX, which was more or less specifically created for them. Debut was March 2022. They are seven Japanese, age 18 to 22 as of now, who are based in South Korea and trained with the KPop idol methods ... to then perform NOT K-Pop, but instead mostly western style 90s/early 2000s rap and R&B oriented tracks. *Modern Old School*, if this makes sense. Their main songs are all completely in English. They also venture into 90s/y2k pop and club sounds, and their rapline and vocalists also have separate series showcasing them specifically, XG Tape and XG Vox respectively. Officially there are 4 rappers (Jurin, Cocona, Maya, Harvey) and 3 vocalists (Chisa, Juria, Hinata), but the rappers all can sing as well, and the rumor mill has it that the singers will dip their toes into rapping very soon.
