  • Hi guys. Today, I'm going to show you how to make Korean Sweet Crunchy Fried Chicken [닭강정 : dakgangjeong]
    Dak means “chicken”. Gangjeong means “traditional crunchy sweet korean cookies”. This dish is sweet and crunchy that’s why they called it as dakgangjeong.
    *Cooking tip of making this dish:
    1. marinated chicken with the ingredients in the video will eliminate odour and will tenderise the chicken.
    2. On the first fry of the chicken, fry in medium heat will make the chicken juicy.
    3. Second fry will make the chicken crunchy.

    Below are the Ingredients I used in this video:
    Dakgangjeong Ingredients:
    1.4kg Marinated Chicken*
    Frying Mix Batter [Alternative: 2 Cup Flour, 1 Cup Corn Flour, 2/3 Tbsp Baking Powder]
    Sauce*
    1 Cup Rice Syrup
    1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
    Sliced Chillies
    Sliced Shallots
    *Marinated Chicken Ingredients:
    1.4kg Chicken
    500ml Milk
    2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
    1/3 Cup Vinegar
    1 Tbsp Sea Salt
    1/2 Tbsp Black Pepper
    1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
    *Sauce Ingredients:
    100g Onion
    100g Pear
    80g Apple
    70g Shallot
    10g Chillies
    1/2 Cup Water
    1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
    1/4 Cup Sugar
    1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
    Pinch of Black Pepper
    1/4 Tsp Cinnamon Powder
    1 Tbsp Wine
