The class picture on the ground was from the year I graduated, 2008. I could see myself sitting on the front row.

There was no shooting at commencement "outside the auditorium" in 1997. Commencement took place at the Genesis Center. I was teaching at Lew Wallace at the time.

As an avid bookworm with a nice small library of my own, it makes me sad to see all those books and magazines just left to rot. Fascinating video though as I enjoy abandoned places.

My mom is 88yo and grew up in Glen Park during its grandeur and graduated from Lew Wallace in 1952, as did my Dad. She was a cheerleader and my Dad was a captain of the football and basketball team, and apparently was a local football legend. I am disgusted at what happened to this school and wish I could’ve gone there before it was destroyed to get some items for my mom as keep sakes. Who does this sort of stuff? Why do kids vandalize? Boredom? I am I’ll watching this while looking at my mom’s old yearbook and how beautiful the school once was.

I explored it back in 2017 and left with some treasures. Nice video! Funny you should mention Bill because I tried to explore places in Gary with him.

Could the city leaders not at least secure the school to stop the affects of weather and vandalism? Incompetence at its best.

What a mess. Sure didn't take long for this building to fall apart since it closed in 2014

Your videos rock. Great job finding the historical information and presenting it. You are the only ones I know that take the time to do that and it adds immensely to your credibility. Your views are way too low...I wish more people knew about your channel. Keep up the good work and thanks!

The fact that there were no photos of any of the all black student classes is WILD!
