Emang kalo cari subcriber itu paling mudah dan gampang itu dr indo baik tempat maupun makanan ,,krna orang indo kita lbh menghargai kalo orang luar yg mengexplore dr orang lokal,,,
About sate padang. The sauce is made from the broth the meat is cooked in. So they boil the meat with spices until it is tender. Once tender, they take the meat out and cut it to pieces then skewer the pieces into sate. The broth is then used to make the sauce. They add some other spices, including chili, to make the broth even more fragrant and spicy, then thicken it with rice flower. Sometimes, the skewer/sate has beef organ pieces on it like heart, liver, and tongue. Glad you girls love the sate.

2:43 Its actually built in different stages between 1909-1937. I think in 1972 its the era of modernism architecture in Jakarta

Museum Bank Indonesia formerly known De Javasche Bank was first built in 1828 not 1972..1972 was the year it was converted to Museum..but the building it self was built during colonial era in 1828

ASEMKA (under the bridge) is where I usually do wholesale goods, especially office stationery. It's a stressful place, but that's where the average merchant gathers... An exciting experience, Susan :)

Fyi: if you found a name of a city behind the dish name, it's usually delicacy from that place.
So Sate Padang means it's from Padang. Some Padang restaurant also sell it.
Just like Soto, we have Soto Kudus, Soto Banjar, Coto Makassar, Soto Betawi (Betawi - Batavia, see the wordplay?), Soto Padang, etc

I remember I was in Ambon and the sign had a translation for Soto Betawi as ‘inside of cow soup’. It certainly had some offal in it! Enak.

Just my humble advice.
If you want to explore Indonesia it would be better to do that when we have national holidays, such as Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, etc. Those time, especially on the first day, usually quiet everywhere. I mean, less crowded

You will definitely love klaapertart you can have it at Beautika it’s Menadonese restaurant and it serve another delicacy from Celebes areas. You can also try Bubur Menado combine with cakalang saos and they sell some snacks too. In case you missed eating pork try pokenbir you should try the pork belly and their Indonesian big pork rice it’s comprised pork foods from Indonesia in 1 giant plate.

Kota tua is the touristy area. And the busy streets where u bought kue pancong and sate padang is the local business district. Those area sell wholesale products/ trader and raw materials for running the business.
