The 800 they are spending on charging can be addressed quickly by charging local without fast charging. If he was resourceful you can find that in LA. Also that high cost is likely cause of ubering...
I try so hard not to judge because I’ve been dumb with money too but cmon you don’t need a Tesla. LA is way overrated and not affordable to the average person. Move, sell the Tesla, get a regular job and pay your bills!!
you don't have a job, you are paying $1740 a month + maintenance, interest, late fees, and depreciation towards this car to earn $4500. your net pay can't be more than $1500 a month. get a real job!
Agree with their advice but George, it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to find a job that he can walk or bike to in LA. Everything in LA is far apart and the city isn’t built for pedestrians AT ALL. My cousin lives there and just got hit by a car while she was on a morning jog in her neighborhood.
My best advice to anybody reading this is to not live in a high-cost index state like Hawaii, New York, California and Massachusetts. If you just take the time to look online at homes for 2 hours a day you'll find the perfect house for you at the right price, like for example I have seen mansions in Texas for around $300,000. Why are you going to spend 1.3 million on a three-bedroom house in California that doesn't look all that great and probably is a little bit dilapidated and is smaller than your Texas Mansion. Also, I saw gas in Lake Tahoe was $7.14 per gallon one time. Just do your research online and do not live in a state with a lot of taxes or will tax you heavily. I think a lot of people move to California and New York without thinking about the financial problems they will get into later, and they're just concerned about living in a nice place, and then later they get so tired of the costs they leave California in a mass exodus.

Gotta love California where you can just not pay your utility bills for a year and the power and water stays on!
The taxpayers will pay for it just like student loan forgiveness 😂

Very scary situation to be in . After maternity leave, then you have a big fat daycare bill . Seem like they just need to budget better 🤔
WAIT!! It costs $800/month to charge a Tesla? I spend less than 1/10 that to gas up my Toyota each month (& it was much cheaper to purchase)
$800 a month to charge is insane. I've never heard anything like it. I drive an EV myself (ioniq), and I spend about $20-30 a month on charging.

I paid $1800 for my last car. That's $1,800, nothing more to pay, here's your title, not $1,800 per month. And I'm not exactly what you'd call poor, either. Priorities.
$3200 for an apartment is ridiculous. They could easily move somewhere for $2,00 even in Los Angeles.

Why doesn't this man have a real job? Their questions are all over the place. Where is Dave?
I appreciate the comment about finding something that you can walk to you as a job. I work from home full-time Monday through Friday until 5 PM or a little later. However, it’s really hard to find a second job that lets you start at let’s say, 6 PM till late, or better yet weekends only. Our truck just blew up and we can’t afford a new vehicle and I need a walkable 2nd job

@@dylanfogarty2771 I’ve lived in both CA and now GA, nothing to do with location, simply about the people being raised
No matter what you think of California, it is 15% of the US economy and the worlds 5th largest economy. The taxes that Georgia sends to Washington do not cover what Georgia gets back from Washington. About 10 states pay the taxes that pay the bills for this country. The rest of the states are freeloaders.
@@genestevenson-l7v that 15% was built 2 decade ago. It is failing now. Don’t be proud of what your grandparents did be proud of what you did. Except California can’t.
@@theGrayArea2 this is mostly true but to say it has nothing to do with location is absolutely silly. Living in GA and living in CA is basically a different financial world

Yup. My husband and I have internet, no cable, share a paid off car. He walks to work, rent a cheap apartment, work 50 some hours most week DINKS (no kids). I buy whatever food and drink I want (like take out and expensive pop). That's my expensive habit. It's for me, not to show off. My husband and I don't live in California, either.

I think when this individual told them what he makes they should have asked if the figure he gave was gross or net. I think many people when asked what they make say their gross salary/earnings instead of net. If he gave them his gross earnings before taxes come out his situation would make a bit more sense. And it's pretty clear he doesn't want to move elsewhere from LA or cut cable. The tesla is the most obvious cut but they should see if they can maybe get out of the lease and move elsewhere.
800$ in gas is 200 gallons at 30 mpg the average sedan is 6000 miles a month tell me how tesla is cheaper than a camry
He's the dumbest Tesla owner in history. He must be using charging stations constantly. My friend has one and she spends around $40 a month to charge...because she charges at home while she sleeps and hasn't stopped at a gas station or public charger for the 2 years she owned the vehicle.

If you followed him around and watched every $1 he spends each month, my guess is a lot is being spent on eating out.
Seriously, he still has cable and is spending $800 a month charging a Tesla??? Lots of bad decisions here.
Don't drive a Tesla or any EVs when you're renting as supercharging is ridiculously expensive. My Tesla is paid off and I charge it at my own house and it only adds $30 to our electricity every month.
I’m surprised that neither George or Jade told Dan that he and his girlfriend need to get married immediately because Dave Ramsey would have told this individual to get married immediately and to combine finances.

What on Gods green earth is happening. I am confused.

What? We knew this was gonna go off the rails when said first kid and partner. It only got worse from there
Agree with their advice but George, it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to find a job that he can walk or bike to in LA. Everything in LA is far apart and the city isn’t built for pedestrians AT ALL. My cousin lives there and just got hit by a car while she was on a morning jog in her neighborhood.
Only in California you still have water and power after not paying for a year.
Omg this is crazy!!!
Put this baby up for adoption. Kid deserves a better life than to be raised by these idiots
Next time I see a Tesla I know it could be someone like this guy.
