kenny rides that line between humility and confidence in his craft so well, gotta love it
🎯
I have no idea what you just said Lmfao
@@Keatoil i was tryna say that he’s able to acknowledge how fire he is while still sounding humble lol, most people who talk themselves up like he does here tend to sound arrogant
fcts
I’ve been trying to figure out ah way to put it and this is perfect
Bro that was the fastest hour I’ve experienced…
Incredible interview, thank you for making this for us!
Thanks for tuning in!
kenny so wholesome man
Said it once and I’ll say it again, kenny is single handedly going to be responsible for a massive influx of younger self made artists w all the free game he’s put us on. Keep talking your shit coach kenny
kenny will go down as one of the dopest producers of our generation. not just in music but in business. so much free game he's given out over the years
"I'm not like your college professor who's telling you about something they've never done. I'm out here."
BARRRRSSSSSS
Kenny Beats giving Pharrell, Chad, and Famlay their flowers while geeking out and fanning out together over hip hop + music + art is such a beautiful thing to see. I've watched this show for a while and being from VA and seeing Fam finally get loud public praise from an artist from my generation feels good. From "Available" to "Get that Work Up" and of course the bigger joints like Da Beeper Record and Rock n Roll -- he and the Neptunes made the soundtrack to some of my favorite moments growing up.
🙏✨
Ok ddtox
Yeah, you right
Get Lucky...
Kenny has that ultra-honest, unfiltered view of life that really resonates the more you let it steep. Every time I hear him speak on anything I end up at least a little bit inspired or instrospective. Whether he knows it or not he's turning into the archetype for a generation of creatives to aspire to. Great discussion and great episode.
I think the biggest draw with Kenny is that he always stays very humble and consistent, He never puts him self above you, or makes you feel like you can't do something like he is doing. you are not gonna be Pharrell, TImbo or Kenny Beats, BUT you can be the very best version of yourself and that will carry you so far. props to a great interview. shout out all kenny beats gang out there. love yall
💞💞💞
"He never puts him self above you, or makes you feel like you can't do something like he is doing. you are not gonna be Pharrell, TImbo or Kenny Beats"
what
@@xahmah you will never be Pharrell, Timbo or Kenny because, quite literally, you are you. You can aspire to be like them in character, but if are living your life to strictly be like any one person then you won’t get anywhere. Only by focusing on you and becoming the best you will you be capable of reaching the same height as these guys.
I love how Pharrell was so impressed w/ Kenny's observations of his Hell Hath No Fury era
The production quality though wow
🤌💋
@@OTHERtone is that OTHERtone's team filming Kenny in location or is that Kenny's own camera?
@@dino_not_dyno I could be wrong but I think Apple sends out their preferred camera setup to the guests. The Othertone episode with Yara Shahidi had the same quality on her end.
@@dino_not_dyno Apple team sends out a crew to our guests
@@OTHERtone thanks for the reply. the crew is outstanding with the footage and feel. props
kenny really just shares any information he thinks of. can’t tell you how many times i’ve heard “this program is free”. it’s amazing to just hear someone talk about stuff they know. MUCH LOVE
Kenny is so well spoken, I genuinely aspire to be like him in the future
Kenny was showing so much love to Isaiah Rashad here. Can tell he's just a genuine good dude, and that's a big part of what helped him get as far as he has.
I didn’t think TDE was going to be able to have anything else to put up after Kendrick then I heard Isaiahs first TDE project and stopped listening to GKMC (not for long though😂)
💎💎💎
Watching Pharrell understand why one would stop gatekeeping and become comfortable with sharing some gems is fucking amazing. If nothing else, Kenny's dope people
Great interview, anytime kenny opens his mouth, this man speaks gems. Thanks othertone for the content 🙏🏾
💞💞💞
1:08:20 - Knucks
thank you!!!!
i'm so glad that i found Kenny on Twitch during the pandemic. He's a legend
🐐
Such a legendary conversation. So much wisdom present in this video.
No words explain how significant this conversation is for me. Kenny + P have inspired me more than anybody else in the world. This is like that question people ask... "Dead or alive who are your top 5 dinner guests?" There's at least two in this conversation. And I'm listening.
Looking at how purely happy Kenny is to talk to other tone makes me feel like dreams come true
I really respect that Kenny isn’t taking the credit for the idea of the cave
Kenny is SO ARTICULATE, he was born to teach, motivate, inspire and make INCREDIBLE music. Thank u Kenny
Kenny didn't inspire me to do what I am doing, but definitely inspired me to keep doing what I'm doing!!
Keep pushing it out there people!
Look how moisturised Pharrells face is.

Pharrell look tired asf lmaoo great interview tho fr
This interview is amazing. I get so inspired everytime I see someone doing what they love. I see myself working with these producers!
It feels as if this self-supporting & pushing musical community is a bit of first on the internet with so much interaction inside, proud of Big Ken right here
We gonna have a whole new generation of producers that will be fanboying over meeting Kenny in the next couple years. Already a legend
I love how Fam-Lay’s voice turns towards the end like a large room hall reverb was added onto it
Its funny to watch everyone else not being able to add much as there is almost nothing to add to kenny's incredible honesty, wisdom, communication ability and grounded view on everything.
How tf have I never heard of this podcast? Amazing guests and hosts yall underrated asf.
🙏💫
fr I'm just finding this!
Im tryna get like Kenny man he's the perfect example of being comfortable in yourself and your skills to the point where some will think you're cocky but also being humble
Sometimes you just get high with your homies, try to make it in the rap game and watch a video like this, it just motivates you so much to really make this thing happen and to remember to have fun while it’s happening. And yeah, Knucks is like so dope
Kenny is a legend. His story is amazing and he is a truly beautiful artist of the new age. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
kenny changed the game imo, love him bcs hes so open.
kenny is solely the biggest inspiration ive had in the past 3 years. that man got me back into graphic design, sound design, and gave me an entirely new perspective. love that guy
So when's Pharrell's cave episode coming out ?
definitely cried at one point into this.. whole interview is legendary
The reason why the "90's HipHop" gets so much respect because They just "Made Music" De La Soul bagged $600k from fans ...They just make music"
Man says Vince loves you and all I can think is "Kenny is the Police"
Kenny's beat battles are about the best ones in the world. 🔥🔥🔥 No comparison
7:18 bullshit. Since a long time ago people had t-shirts of Premo, J Dilla or Pete Rock.
Kenny's really becoming one of my fav producers right now.
Love this! Incredible value here for producers and beatmakers! 🔥
💞💞💞
Ask Pharrell about the Korg Triton keyboard.
Early 2000s those were all the hot sounds and Neptunes was tearing up the charts with those Triton Patches
thankyou for blessing us with this video awsome
Kenny beats is the new generations rick Rubin and you hear it in his ethos. His goal is to make you make your best music or to just enjoy the process. Either way you’re winning working with Kenny beats
Man Kenny, you must have felt so crazy doing this interview getting praise from Pharrell. you did it man, you should be proud.
SHOUTOUT KNUCKS
He’s living every bedroom beatmaker’s dream. 🙌
insanely great panel of people! I love these interviews so much.
2 of my favourite producers! I will work with P and Kenny Beats this year. I believe it
Kanye the greatest example of ambition/wanting it so bad and willing it into existence in my opinion.
We are with Kenny Beats…who is lit out his mind
his streams taught me all i know he needs his flowers
KENNY BEATS X KNUCKS???
6 to 8 months of no partying, 16 hours a day is amazing

58:50 bro I think the exact same way, Momma I’m So Sorry is one of my favorite songs 🖖🏼
Yo I was there at Central Park, my homie and I drove all the way to New York from Maryland, we walked from the hotel to summer stage to find out my homie left his vax card and ID at the hotel, we ended up missing half the show, missed Kenny mason and tezo, but saw Zac fox and Kenny beats. worth it. Shout out to the homies playin chess at the side of the stage😂
The Kbd out here showing love to our boy
Kenny saying in the graffiti world he loves seeing the name "most up" is why he has a producer tag WOAH KENNY ❤
This was a great one. Woah Kenny!

Knucks home is beautiful indeed.

Kenny making 777 with Key was the final push inspired me to make music. No cap.
Kenny has been my little bro since he was in Middle school ... To watch his journey progress over the years has been nothing short of amazing ... Proud of this kid

50:55 was like a knife to my guts
Kenny smart af..
I'm sorry I really want to watch this, but after Kenny said he's 6'7 I couldn't focus cause ain't no WAYYYY 😂. I'm gonna have to come back to this later cause that caught me so off guard. Like I knew he was tall but not THAT tall
🤣😂

sam gellaitry the only other person i can think of that uses sitar
Wealth is of the heart and mind, not of the pocket
i'm alone in my bedroom just clapping, this has revived something in me _passion has huge consequences _love you kenny

this channel is so under rated.. kenny is my role model!
This is really gonna be looked back at as a seminal moment for Kenny man, so much inspiration
I’m here from Kenny Beats stream watching with him on Twitch and have to say this was definitely a learning experience and inspiration up and coming musicians and artists out there! Stay inspired! 💪🏽😤🙌🏽
