      Picked our benches by watching your videos
      One cannot go wrong by following your lead so I echo whatever U say
      We purchased the
      REP FB 5000 Clearcoat
      & the
      REP AB 3000 Red (Got this AB as we wanted a decline and like the foot pads at the bottom of the bench)

      Agree with your statement if you aren't interested in the decline features just bolt some plywood and 2x4s and get a bench on the cheap. But for versatility and space saving plus future modularity this bench is like a barbell... invest and don't cry twice as they say.

    Interesting option with this bench, I really like my REP 5200 and was happy I got it at a little over $400 on a deal with "free" shipping. I don't do decline work and the db handles wouldn't fit my powerblocks. I can see how this would be a great option for someone who wanted those options. Great review!

    Guy's head up! Got this bench, beware that the paint doesn't stick very good on the metal, packaging is not good so you'll get even more chips and scrathes and a possible dent metals, again due to poor packaging. And make sure your okay to pay restocking fee when you decide to return! Almost forgot to metion, the vinyl used on the padding is very very thin! Also pay attention to the metals, a lot are off centered when welded. I made a review online showing photos and they keep have my comments and photos deleted!

    I've been waiting for this review! I have this bench and I love it but one annoyance is that the paint by the wheels started chipping off after 2 months. Also, the fit of my decline attachment feels loose. Yours looks solid though so maybe they tightened up the tolerances.

      GetRxd is doing an exchange, so hopefully that works out.

    Some tips for shipping:
    1) Our warehouse is based in Texas. The closer you are to Houston, Texas the lower your shipping rate will be. Gluck's Gym is based in Connecticut, so his cost for shipping is higher than most others because of the distance from Texas.
    2) Shipping the FIDAB-2 Adjustable Bench to a business address will be $20-$40 less than shipping to a residential address. Our website checkout will verify your address type as business or residential once you enter in the exact street address and zip code at checkout.

    Awesome review. You mention before that your current rack build is a Frankenstein between Rogue Monster and Rep PR 5000, using the 1" hole ecosystem, it would be awesome if you made a video explaining how you made it (the parts your choose in order to make them compatible) and what to avoid to keep compatibility, because for example, did you use Rogue or Rep Crossmembers? I see that Rep has 41" Crossmembers but Rogue's are 43", they only share the 30" size and I do not know if it is 100% compatible, again a video explaining how you came up with the parts would be awesome. Take care and keep the amazing reviews!

    • @airgordo4
      @airgordo4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      His entire rack is Rep. the Rogue component is the storage panel connecting the Ares rack and the extra upright between the two racks. Some of the black crossmembers between them could also be Rogue, but I doubt it as Rep’s are a bit cheaper. Everything on the rack itself is Rep. you can tell because Rogue top crossmembers sit flush with the uprights. So the rack depth is 41” all the way around.

    • @mandonga1200
      @mandonga1200 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@airgordo4 That is what I thought, eventually I would like to buy the Areas, make a 6 post unit, and connect the ends to a 43 inch crossmember for Rogue, this way I could use their storage, specially the "Monster Rack Storage Panel", and some shelves alswell, its just that I wanted to know if you can use a Rep 3x3 with 1" holes upright with Rogue 43" Crossmembers, due to the fact that the Crossmember has 2 hooles and I know that Rep does not have trully 1" holes because its Metric vs Imperial. Thank alot.

    • @airgordo4
      @airgordo4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mandonga1200 My rack is a combo of Rogue/Titan/Rep pieces. I have my Rogue slinger, storage panels, monster shelves, jammers arms, all bolted to my Titan series uprights with no issue. It's easier to use the slightly smaller hardware from Titan/Rep when bolting them together. Where you run into issues is the slightly smaller Rep/Titan accessories fitting on the bigger Rogue uprights. Example being my Titan spotter arms cannot lock with the hitch pin on my Rogue jammer arms. I don't need them to lock, but that is where the hole alignment becomes more of an issue. In my experience accessories and add-ons from Rogue/Sorinex/Elite FTS work fine on the smaller Titan/Rep uprights.

    Hey guys, first off congrats on the new addition, we just had a little girl in November and we are just now getting our sleep back haha.
    That being said, since the baby’s arrival, my wife and I have been very interested in beefing up our home gym (bench press, kettle bells, dumbbells) so we can get back on the path of overall fitness with all capabilities while still paying close attention to our baby without having to take turns going to the gym. Your videos have been playing nonstop in our home for a few days now so much that my wife is starting to think I’m going crazy but I just want to be sure I make the best decision possible.
    I’m having a really hard time deciding between the PR 4000 and the PR 5000, I know they are pretty much the same and the weight capability is not an issue since I’ll never fully max the limits of either one. My concern is that I know the 5000 is the future for home gyms and I don’t want to put myself into a position of regretting not getting the 1” hardware and versatility of the multiple holes in the uprights but do you personally think that will ever be an issue? And do you honestly believe that the 4000 would be enough to not ever think, “man, I should’ve gone with the 5000.”? Obviously there are things to note like price of the set up and attachments but from what I gathered from your videos and many others on TH-cam is that REP’s frame build quality is only getting better so it’s definitely worth the money, but is the 5000 really worth the extra chunk of cash for your average family like us or is it just my demons wanting the buy the biggest and nicest rack? Please give me your feedback! Thanks.

    • @GlucksGym
      @GlucksGym  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've always thought 5/8" was more logical for people because of the price though certain companies (Rogue) don't support it as well. That's not an issue with Rep because they seem to release same things with 1" and 5/8". They've also updated their uprights to have more holes on the sides but unfortunately there's images and info on their site that show them both ways (the old 6" hole spacing, and new continuous 2") so while I haven't seen a new upright in person the hole spacing shouldn't be an issue.

    • @AngelRodriguez-cx8pg
      @AngelRodriguez-cx8pg ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes sense, okay that helps my decision. Honestly at the end of the day I think I’m okay with utilizing REPs attachments and configurations even if that means I sacrifice the minor quality difference. Thanks for the quick response!

    Although the Rep 5200 doesn't have the decline the option to add a fat pad is good as well. Love mine 😀

      I was able to fit the rep fat pad to the getrxd FID but it involved adding threaded inserts. Surprised I did it right but 1 yr later its still good

    As I’ve said, the finish on my Get RX bench flaked off and rusted. Customer service told me to pound sand. That it was “normal ware and tear.” It happened after less than a year owning it.

    • @GlucksGym
      @GlucksGym  ปีที่แล้ว

      I know someone commented on the finish but couldn't remember. One had this about 3 months and no issues there but I'll keep an eye on it

      That’s pretty concerning. I got one that was damaged in shipping, and the paint was chipping like crazy. As if it wasn’t primed properly.
      They sent a replacement; hopefully this one is better, otherwise I’ll have to return it and the leg rollers I bought for a refund.

      @@mediumspeedsomedrag9885 I returned it immediately upon opening it. I had pictures of it in the box damaged. They sent me a second one; same problem. Maybe they let me return it because it was damaged on arrival?
      I gave up on getting an undamaged one from GetRxd and ordered a Rep Blackwing instead. GetRxd gave me a full refund and covered all shipping.

    Can you swap the pads? Like for instance, can I get the Rep Fitness wide pad as a replacement? With the mounting points be exactly the same?

    • @matth5237
      @matth5237 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are not. The getrxd uses two rows of bolts and the rep uses just one. But you can add threaded inserts yourself if so motivated. I used my old getrxd pad to make a seal row!
