Making 6 figures doing Excel from home! I started doing budgets and staffing models for $40-60K, transitioned into IT PM work, then started working with Power Pivot and SQL! Used to work in an office but moved to full time telecommuter 3 years ago. Next stop, $150K from the beach (I hope).

This video understates how much work is required for VBA. It also overstates the amount of 'entry level' excel work that is available.
Yeah VBA is very advanced.. well beyond just being an advanced Excel user. I have created some automations via VBA/macros but I feel like an amateur compared to what some are capable of.

I disagree, it's still basically just visual basic 6.0, not exactly hard. Not to mention there's nothing you can't find example code for in 2022.

I was just stating vba isn't difficult, that's all. Yeah she's full of it, but visual basic isn't at all difficult

I'm actually one of the sellers that showed up when you showed Fiverr (I feel famous! 😂) and I can definitely vouch for Fiverr being a great idea. These past 3 months I have earned way more from Fiverr than from my full time job as an engineer. If this keeps like this, I'm quitting my job in a few months.

While meanwhile, all these are almost useless to people in third world countries who really this type of work help the most because a lot of online paying services such as paypal are banned.
When I went to school, we did not have computers, and the Internet did not exist yet. While I have Excel as part of my Office 365, I don't really have enough knowledge about it. I'm glad I found this video.

Back in the day, I learned Lotus, then translated to Excel. Through use, I have expanded my abilities and currently use it for organizational tasks and statistical analysis. Too much of what employers/customers want from excel has nothing to do with data management, analysis or manipulation. They want pretty screen graphics.

Problem with fiver and upwork is that eventhough ur good at what u do, u have enough competition out there and most of the clients tend to offer work for someone who has reviews and previous work experience and neglect someone who would want to start their journey as a freelancer

Yep Upwork will waste your time!
Easy way around this is to buy bots for fake reviews and ratings just to get yourself in a known spot. Unethical? Hell no. I got bills too. Lmao
Get a friend to hire you and give you a review. Works.

FYI I got in via staffing agencies. Temp to hire, etc. You can make more based on knowing the companies you work for than you do for the analytics skills.

I tried to work on Upwork, but had such a bad experience. Those sites stimulate competition among workers and devalue their wages to the ground. The jobs offered are usually the bottom of the barrel, they require too much, pay little, and have too much competition with people from poorer countries offering to do them for pennies. They are also ridden with literal beggars, people asking for money without even offering to do the job.

@@perfectpeace4691 , I don't do the ordinary stuff you'll find on TH-cam, I built tools like systems in excel, that can be used in medium to large businesses. The tools are normally built for staff to be able to do their work, most of the time it's better than the million dollar systems the company's buy. I have built allocation tool that allocations stock to over 600 stores based on a stores individual sales and stock. All the staff member needs is a list of stores with a list of products and some criteria then the tool does the rest. Thats just one of the tools. I built pricing tools, promotional tools, switching tools, canabalization tools, forecasting tools, write off risk base on expiry tools, launching new products in a business tools etc. So happy to help where I can.

I am a programmer/accountant and our cost for food and housing is way higher than someone in India you are competing with. So if you live in the US you will be making low wages because of your competition. They speak English too and do more than answer phones. There have been cases of people fired for outsourcing their job to India by getting around the company's security. I suggest moving to a cheaper country if you are serious about this.
