Sir ...in the video of permanent lateral incisor u have mentioned tat distally it contacts wd canine in the middle third of the tooth And in this video u have mentioned tat canine contacts wd the lateral incisior at the junction of incisal and middle 3rd sir Can u please explain about tat ...
hello Vaishnavi... all teeth are not of same dimension and not located at same level... such that each tooth have their respective middle thirds and incisal thirds at different levels... so the junction of incisal third & middle third of canine may not coincide with junction of incisal third & middle third of lateral incisor..
Another thing, is it okay to call its form from the labial and lingual/palatal aspect to be pentagonal with the 2 additional boundaries being the mesial and distal cusp slopes?
when we talk about the outline from we basically take 4 sided geometric figures only. This is in order to translate the four boundaries of the tooth (from labial aspect- incisal, mesial, distal and cervical) to the 4 sides of the geometric figure. The cusp has 2 slopes but it is considered as 1 incisal surface. other wise by that logic it will become difficult to find geometric figures for molars where 2 cusps are visible from the buccal aspect, making it 4 cuspal slopes and hence 7 sided geometric figure.
no in both proximal sides the cervical line is always convex towards the crown, whereas in labial and lingual sides the cervical line is convex towards the root...
thank you so much! can you please post a tutorial on how to draw the permanent maxillary canine on graph paper please. I have a test on this next Wednesday

Correction- In chronology, the enamel completion is actually 6-7 years and not 6-7 month.

very nice video
thank you :)
Awsome
In mesial aspect..it should be "cervical line is concave towards the crown" ryt ?
no in both proximal sides the cervical line is always convex towards the crown, whereas in labial and lingual sides the cervical line is convex towards the root...
