- In this video I work on the cathedral fortress on the back of my giant 7 foot imperator titan build! The Emperor Class titan is the largest titan class in the Warhammer 40k universe, and building one at warhammer scale is a truly massive feat. Join me for this installment.

Taking 'My body is a temple' literally
Aight im pinning that 😂
8:00 = Eric, where are some good places in the GTA to buy different types/thicknesses of *_PLASTI-CARD?_*
( * Great Video BTW!!! [};-)=*~
Not only that, but deciding to arm the temple as well
Glory to the omnishaia
Imperator Titan talking to an Ork Gargant:
IT: I treat my body like a temple. You treat yours like a Tent!
*proceeds to rain hellfire onto the Gargant in question*
That cathedral is already beautiful, I can't even imagine it all painted up. Looking forward to seeing the next update!
Congratz on your first game release! Hope to see some Night Thirst games popping up in the algorithm in the near future.
Thank you so much!!@@velentr
@@wittlegoblin Thank _you_ for introducing me to Damnation.
Well, it could do with a spot of paint, right now it looks like "Barbie's Dream Imperator"
I like the idea of the big gun sticking out of the dome. It could in theory, spin around then and be a neat idea.
I totally agree, the idea of a telescope-esque dome cannon thing is so over the top which fits in perfectly with the project in general
Like the Anti- Orbital Laser Silos from the Siege of Vraks!
If it isn't to late, consider the tower tops, where the cannon protrude, be able to swivel. it would allow the cannon a larger field of fire, and give the titian a little less rigidity, I think
@@totalNERD-eo7wx 100% It should be an anti-orbit defence laser, large enough to tear cruisers out of orbit if they dare get close enough.
@@aregulargamer1 Oh no, this would have to be a scaled down version, those cruisers are significantly bigger than an Imperator. In fact, even a destroyer is much bigger. And the power required to destroy those vessels would not fit within any titan...
The crockets look absolutely gorgeous. All it needs now is some gargoyles and grotesques then it’s a fully fledged gothic masterpiece.
Could have gargoyles that are ugly depictions of different kinds of xenos?
maybe the turrets mounted atop it could have that motive
@@Nanowith1 I remember seeing a gargoyle that looks like a xenomorph on paisley abbey in Scotland. Maybe something like that?
Yes, and painted gothic windows with backlighting ❤
@@Nanowith1 I would say Chaos Legions, or Demons. Nothings says F you like having Fulgrim getting used as a Water spout
I love the dome-gun idea. It seems far more practical since it could conceivably on a swivel and it lets you hughlight the fact that this is supposed to be a cathedral with a proper entryway. Imagine A bunch of Marines and Eldar fighting over the entrance.
yes and at that range it be all MELEE
YES THE RETURN OF THE GREATEST WARHAMMER PROJECT IN HISTORY
The "this piece that I found in my trash actually fits perfectly onto the rest of the structure" part is the most satisfying thing I have seen this week. I replayed it (twice).
One thing I really like about this project is how at the end of the the day this will be Eric's personal Imperator Titan. I've always liked the idea that although the internal workings were build using STC components, the exterior design of an Emperor Class Titan was left up to the individual Fabricator-general.
This was their chance to leave their personal mark on the Imperium of Man, much the same way kings and popes would attempt to immortalize themselves in real life cathedrals and other works of art.
now imagine if he brings one to a tourney
9:30 out the dome is definitely the right idea , and also then you can make that cannon absolutely MASSIVE.
40K SCALE QUAKE CANNON WHEN!??!?!?!?
This inspiring!! If GW had a better marketing dept they would be sponsoring this guy and putting the finished Titans in game shops as exclusive gaming tables.
those crockets rule, this is coming along spectacularly!
I love learning new architectural terminology from watching your channel
For the gothic arches at 9:00, I think having them open would really add depth to the whole piece. You should cut another alcove directly above each of them and put statues up there!
Eagle head crockets look amazing. This thing is wild!
As a fellow grown up man and a fellow parent, I just have to say its insane you find time and motivation to take on such massive projects. Its smart, giving up to tiredness is worst you can do.
Wish you all the best, the titan and the cathedral are obviously incredible
I’ve been following this project so long that it gave me the final push to finally buy my first CP months ago. These videos always get me stoked.
This is STUPID COOL!!!!!! God that brings back the memories of weekend builds with Viv from Rubbish in rubbish out!!!!!!
This is one of, if not the coolest Warhammer thing I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait to see the progression on this project.
I love the eagle crockets, such a subtle detail that gives it so much character
YES! BACK! GLAD TO HEAR IT!!!
I feel stupidly lucky to have stood in the same room as this thing. I can't adequately describe how much PRESENCE it has
Since you asked for feedback in your video, here's my thoughts: The arches in the walls from the central tower to the corner towers: leave those open, so you have more routes to take when gaming on it. Maybe put the statues on plints over them? The main cathedral gun, I'd have stick out of a rosary window, above the door. Not the dome roof, as I feel that is to small to house a giant gun, plus the gun is fixed forward firing anyway... Anyhow, amazing project, and looking forward to the next episode.
I agree to keep those openings as doors instead of statue areas... maybe you could mount gargoyles above the doors though? I think a dome roof gun could work, but either option is fine
have you played the rogue trader game? in the entrance to your throne room there is passageway that has statues to the emperor on either side of it and I think having the statues be the walls for the passageway with a few candles lighting it would be really cool looking
@@vonskii Love the gargoyles over the doorways! Would look sick!
I mostly agree, but i can still see a short fat "mortar" gun from an opening in the dome. But why choose? Get both, in the grimdarkness there can never be enough guns!
Agreed! Those should be alternate routes for sure, but those blank walls above them are begging for some statues!
Yes dude, yesssssss. Your emperor titan videos are some of the few I watch entirely. Please keep that creative train going, this is going to be a masterpiece
Eric, your channel is hands down my favorite youtube hobby channel. So wholesome.
@MidwinterMinis eat your heart out. This thing is so impressive. Thanks for keeping us posted, and the crockets look awesome. I also think the planetarium cannon sounds like a great idea too.
The sheer complexity of this project makes my brain hurt. Bravo sir! It's really coming together.
if decision paralysis is too intense, perhaps try building another part of the titan in the meantime? It could help reset your focus and help you see your true creative vision. Just a tip! Love this series so much, keep going. For the Emperor!
The back is literally a fortress church that has just been placed on top of him, and it is INSANE! Keep up the great work please.
Holy shit we are back at it. Loving this project
I like the stairs and I like the idea of having the cannon come out of the dome.
adding lights behind those windows and maybe some sort of anti aircraft guns in the little corner turrets would be nice
You need to find someone that has the (x-plus I think it is) godzilla thats in a similar scale so you can have them fight XD
That scales to about 7'10", depending on which movie
Fkn AWESOME man. If you made in one inch taller it would have to be in a different room. Glad to see you are taking your time and letting the art happen instead of forcing a quick halfass project. That cathedral is awe inspiring already, cannot wait to see some more progress.
This is turning out so well! I think having the top gun coming out of the dome would be the best option!
The roof looks amazing! Those Crockets really do stick out as uniquely 40k while maintaining the Gothic style you wanted! This whole project has absolutely blown me away and I am so excited to see it continue to evolve and develop! Praise the Emperor and Praise the Omnissiah!
Something about the structure and pacing of this video makes it my favourite in the series so far
Bigger, better, brighter!
Bigger is not nessessary. I love your builds, although I prefer another style. But the way you build is incredible, I really love it. I have problems with just do things without overplanning and overthinking. And you do that so beautiful. I learned a lot from your way of building. Thank you.
I'm not in the future, I love dnd for this handmade style that's built in the timeframe. But you do things in a way that is timeless. I really like watching your creations. So beautiful, and so creative. And somehow easy to make, as a topping. Many people feel overwhelmed because they think they can't do this. But you show it's just technique, just like Black Magic Craft. This is a very valuable lesson. You don't need lots of money to be creative.
I still have just the 20 colors from the starter set. I learned how to mix colors when I was about 6. My circle likes my minis. We did a painting session once. I did two minis when some where not even ready. All the ready made colors are not faster. It's just skill. I started painting when I was able to hold a crayon. 😂
It might lie dormant when your life leads you astray. But it comes back very fast and you will discover that your life experience improved your painting skills too. Even if you did nothing for 20 years.
Thank you.
Love your videos! Im glad you posted after so long!
Really looking amazing. Enjoying watching this whole process. And honestly, nothing makes me want a 3D printer more than seeing those window frames ...
I love how the cathedral is looking. It feels a bit like a mix between gothic cathedral and like a brutalist military structure so far. can't wait to see more!
Planetarium dome cannon sounds amazing
Eric, this is insane and beautiful and just incredible! I can't wait to see the finished model.
I love this series, it's bringing some of my favourite parts of lore to life.
It’s coming out great! There’s still a 1/4” or so of ceiling space, slacker…. Seriously, freaking awesome!!! Enjoying the process.
People: Are you building a terrainpiece or a huge miniature?
Eric: Yes
All I could say was "aw wow!" When I saw that 1st 3d printed window go into the foam!! Loving this
That cathedral is incredible, Eric. Wow...
This thing is MASSIVE. And yes, it is inches away from the ceiling! 😆
Looks amazing. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Holy crap that is unreal, the roofing of the cathedrals is mindblowing. Can't wait to see the painted/weathered/detailed completed project.
THE TITANS BACK BABY
terrain building with extra steps, great video.
Eric! This is masterful work. Every little section was better than the last. I'm so impressed.
I know it isn't finished, but the building already looks awesome!
This is still the coolest series ever. Its mind blowing how youve done all this with foam, cardboard, and toys
the elevation of your builds just get more crazy and beautiful. keep up the great work bro!
I know scratch building comes first but I'd really like to see some first born marines as a golden statues at the very top of one of the cathedral roofs. Love the series and all your terrain builds!
This Cathedral is so beautyfull, hard to belive there is a Titan underneath^^
It’s Massive!
I am so stoked with this video! Glad that you are back on the project and love what you have done! The small foam chips to mark the towers instead of fixing the towers into place is genius.
As a former owner of the original Epic Imperator Titan can't wait to see this finished and used for games. Awesome work 👍🏻
Such an awesome project. I love how you've found highly individual and unique solutions to problems you've faced making it much more like a very personal project rather than a tutorial.
honestly: I forgot this series was still a thing. Very happy to be reminded ^^
Finally, we’re back on track
Such a massive project. Good on you for sticking with it.
Holy shit, completing my running regime AND a eric video? Today is good
My wife watched this video with me and said that while you are insane, it is a magnificent insanity. She suggests that you might be interested in card cutting and embossing techniques which she uses for dolls house projects. We both look forward to your next video. You may not be aware of the many effects obtainable by using a die-cutting and embossing machine.
Having the imperial eagle for the Crockett on the top of the towers is just an amazing detail. Well done. Keep up the great work
The Titanicus Master Fabricator has finally been defrosted! The accumulated frost of the Grand Freezer known as Canada holds him no more!
The dome gun and the statues in the niches both sound like great ideas to me. Having the front door accessible by stairs will make the piece make more sense when used as a standalone terrain building.
My headcanon went wild at the idea of playing a game on an Imperator's cathedral. Great idea!
This thing is literally so insanely cool
These roofs are really really great, the crochets make the whole thing so detailed
Legit one of my favorite projects on youtube. Always look forward to these updates. Great work.
Those crockets are chef’s kiss. It’s really coming together.
Fuck yes, I’ve been waiting for weeks after being randomly recommended your other imperator titan videos.
I love the idea of the dome being part of a big rotational cannon
For sure keep that staircase, it looks epic!
Yey! My fav tube series is back!!
I caught myself trying to like this video 4 times.
I've said it before, I'll say it again - You're my kind of crazy.
The crockets are a brilliant touch, and look very much at home there. This project is really starting to shape up nicely. Now, you need to figure out how to mass produce them... :)
The analysis of the problems of intuitive building (and analysis paralysis particularly) is truly useful. Sometimes it's just better to have definite plans. Something I have certainly been finding building Ork vehicles.
And the build is amazing obviously (especially for all those of us who have ever speculated about epic vehicles at 28mm scale)...
I love the detail on the rear overhang on the miniature Titan model. Hope it gets included.
This project is giving me Marble Machine X vibes in scope. Looks great so far!
Gobsmacked.
You're a blessed critter to have a friend willing to use a laser cutter to spare your fingers the endless lacerations!
I feel so much joy whenever you paste an update on this project! Amazing work so far!
This is the best thing you ever built pal
This is the most amazing build you've ever done.... speechless, my friend.
One of my favourite TH-cam series
4:28 This is so painfully true
I want so badly for this to be entered into golden demon when it’s finished
I’m definitely a big fan of the gun sticking out of the dome. It sounds amazing
As an Englishman it warms my heart to hear the word 'gubbins' from across the pond (go Canada!)
duuuuuude!!! at 1:35 that's my town Basel!!! Never thought I would feel so close to you❤
We have gotta have eric make a free public game with this when its finished
This is looking incredible! Also the idea of the canon being on the dome is a great idea. You could say it’s to prevent orbital attacks by shooting ships out of the sky
Can't wait to see the gunification of the Titan. I imagine it's going to be covered in Heavy bolters and the like alongside the actual big guns.
oh! It's coming together so nicely!!!! I'm so stoked for this project.
I wonder how much paint this baby is going to take...
That looks awesome. The cathedral is coming along really nice. That head is killing it, too.
This project is so sick and i cant wait to see more. An idea for some detail: What if the 4 small “Towers” on each corner of the platform were hollow, maybe with arched opening. It would be a great spot for sniping down towards the ground. Not for when you take the platform down for gaming, but a cool detail when the titan is fully assembled i think
Well I randomly found this channel and I've subbed straight away.....
More TITAN please
