    Hi Have really enjoyed your videos, they are so helpful. We are going on our 1st cruise next week on Pacific Encounter. We have been told that you give money to the person looking after your room, but don't know how much to give. Can you help. Thanks

    thanks for the video, if all 3 parking are full, where is next best to park the car? any closer free street parking? maybe can get a cheaper uber from there after??

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John. Unfortunately there is nothing even close to the terminal for parking. Best bets are probably Portside or Andrews, both of which have shuttle services to the terminal and undercover parking.

    I tried to book through wilson Car Parking, but all spots are sold out. Can you find a spot on the day without booking? Thanks 😊

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Janet. Wilson's at the terminal is 3 separate car parks. P1 and P2 are bookings only so you won't get in there. P3 is bookings and turn ups but to be honest I'm not sure that I would like to take that risk. It gets pretty busy. On our last cruise we could only book in P3 as the others were full and there were quite a few spaces still available when we arrived but whether they were booked or for turn ups, not sure. To be safe I would maybe have a look at some of the alternatives away from the terminal such as Portside or Andrews Airport Parking. Both of these offer free transfers to the terminal and have undercover parking. I believe they may be a little more costly but it might be worth it for the peace of mind. Good Luck, hope it works out.

    Hi Rob, Thanks for the video. Do you know if the P1 parking is first come first serve for the undercover. Or do you book an undercover spot?

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cheryl. Thanks for dropping by. It's first come first served, no option to select which space you want when booking. Having said that we have been there twice now when a ship has been in port and once when we cruised and there have been plenty of spaces available undercover. In fact we have managed to get the spaces closest to the terminal building on all 3 occasions. Might change over time and we'll keep an eye on it.

      Hi Kim, thanks for dropping by and for the comment. Funny you should say that because I actually set off and then realised that I had forgotten to take a hat with me. By that time it was too late and I was too excited to visit the terminal to go back so I just did without.

    Hi Rob is there a parking company that we can use to park our car and get a shuttle to the cruise terminal.

  • @njm7941

    Hi - can you tell me how I can get to this terminal from Brisbane city please? I sail on the Luminosa soon and not sure how to get there. Thanks

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi NJ. There is no public transport directly to the terminal at this time. From the City your best bet might be a taxi, Uber or similar rideshare. Would probably cost around $40 according to the fare calculator. If you're feeling adventurous you could get a City Cat from the City to Hamilton and then get a taxi, Uber or rideshare from there but that would probably work out a similar cost as the Uber calculator is saying $30 from Hamilton on top of the CityCat fare. That would also take a fair bit longer. Hope this helps and have a fantastic cruise.

    Is there parking for visitors?

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thanks for dropping by. Yes there is. Visitors can park for $5 per hour. In fact we will be doing that on Saturday to see the Pacific Encounter at the port.

    Did you notice if car park 2 had disabled parking

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jarrod, thanks for dropping by and commenting. I'm actually quite embarrassed to say that I did not. However, I will try to find out the disabled parking options tomorrow and let you know. My very sincere apologies and thanks for pointing out something that I should definitely include in future videos.

      @robandalicruisetravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jarrod. I haven't forgotten about you. I called Wilson's a couple of times to ask but couldn't get through and they haven't got back to me. Someone I know went today and there are certainly disabled spaces in P1. Still trying to see if I can find out about P2 for you.

      A terrible oversight that no public transport is available - forcing masses of cars on to the roads. We are currently onboard and returning to Brisbane tomorrow. Sadly, we will be forced to drive by car after disembarking. The old terminal was brilliant with excellent Citycat and bus services.

    • @robandalicruisetravel
      @robandalicruisetravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Phil. Thanks for dropping by and for your comments. Absolutely agree, no public transport is a big oversight. We were on the same cruise, arriving back this morning. Hope you had a great time.

      @robandalicruisetravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jarrod. Sorry, finally have an answer for you. Yes there is disabled parking in P2. Hope this response is not too late for your plans.
