      Thank you I try and keep things simple to understand in most cases the process is made complicated putting things together in a way we can all understand is the true art. Wish I had you tube when I was younger it would have made things so much easier. Thanks for your comments and please share my videos with others regards Clive

    A very useful demonstration Clive as I am a beginner and attempting to paint a Derwent Water scene. Great tips and presentation style. Many thanks from a fellow Welshman.

    A palette knife works well, just get a thin amount on the edge, then apply over water horizontally making sure they are straight...the small handle knife like you use for mixing paints, or the Ross knife works as well. Just another idea.

    What color would you use for the base? Likewould you start off with a dark color?

    You just gonna leave the water as plain paper? This is what im really needing to learn
