Safe flying! respect to all flight crews and service people for bringing us safely to our destinations. also thank you for sharing your experience with us
Esther, its nice that you finally made a full video and not a short. Firstly I would ask that you don't speed up the videos. Let them play out. We are here to watch the scenery, not skip it so there is no need to fast forward! Also since you're a pilot, it would be interesting to see more of the work related things. For example many of us would be more interested to see your interactions in the cockpit. Let us watch you actually work, checklists, talk with ATC, fly the plane etc. Mount your phone (or better a GoPro) in the cockpit and film yourself. There are thousands of vloggers who do trip destination videos. The unique thing you have that they don't, is you actually fly yourself to these destinations. So show us more about your pilot life instead, briefings, walk around etc. Get technical with us. Wishing you all the best on your adventures!
I found this channel tonight. What an amazing video! The aviation enthusiast in me would have preferred to see more footage of the flights themselves but I appreciate the clips of the cities, gatherings and crowds. Rare to see a lady pilot in a cargo airline - and an Asian at that! Welcome to Atlas!
Congratulations on becoming a first officer on the queen of the skies the 747! Look forward to further vlogs on your channel! Wishing you a bright future with Atlas Air!
Really cool video! Being an airline pilot is one of those professions that I always considered but never tried. I still think about it sometimes. Barely subscribed. Hope to see more videos in future!
This is great! Not enough folks out there sharing the life of a long haul cargo pilot…and it’s awesome to see thru the eye of a new hire. Can’t wait to hear more about your experiences to get to this point.
I just want to say youth is priceless. When you are young you can try to make your dream(s) come true. But when you are getting old it will become not so much possible. So, keep going and make more dreams come true when you can.
Awesome! I'm too old to start a journey as a commercial pilot, but definitely like to live the life vicariously through real TH-cam pilots, especially cargo pilots. Keep it up!
Great video, this is my dream airline so only cargo for me. I'm currently time building at the moment. Can't wait to get there, will hit ATP mins early next year.
Got randomly recommended this and not disappointed I clicked. Great job, especially if this is your first flying vlog. I definitely didn't expect to see someone this young as a 747 pilot in any seat. One tip for not getting lost in the streets of China if you don't already know it. All the GPS data is randomly offset by tens or hundreds of meters for national security, so you only get good directions in Chinese navigation apps. Last time I was there before Covid, Google Maps or any foreign app will show that you are randomly offset from where you really are and it makes navigating really hard.
A good alternative to Google Maps is Maps.Me (not the actual link). I had the same issue with Google Maps, but that wasn't an issue with that app. There are others, but often in Mandarin without any translation, so it will be a struggle unless you know how to read it. Some say Apple Maps is pretty good, as well.
This is in awesome video!! The Boeing 747 is quite an iconic aircraft and this was an awesome vlog. Subscribed! :) By the way, I wanted to provide very a kind suggestion, when you were showing the views of Incheon, South Korea and were pointing to the top of tall buildings/sky scrapers, my suggestion is to point the camera up and down gradually at a medium pace and not too quickly. When it is done quickly, it feels a little rushed and haha it is easy for the viewer to get a little bit of a headache!
Subscribed!!! Keep it up!! Put more Vlog here and I hope you will have a video to sharing how to being a Atlas Air Pilot and the process of interviews!!😝
as a future pilot, you’re really really cool !!! I can't imagine how much effort you put into for become a pilot.… I hope that my 777 and your 747 can meet in the sky in the future! 🇯🇵
Congrats Esther!!! One of my favorite places is South Korea ... I wish to visit it soon and hope I am one of your flights :) You have a new subscriber!!
0:27 - Brings back memories. I was IT Systems Support Manager for Polar Air Cargo in Long Beach, just as they got bought out by Atlas. Picked up Six Sigma, which was good.
Was Aircraft Dispatcher in Flight Control 2002-2003. Can't remember what floor we were on. Did not go to New York bu dispatched the last flights from Long Beach Office.
You blurred your take-off and landing procedure, but I remember I saw some pilots who could also film that as their vlog. Does it depend on the company difference?
I remember you Esther, Im well was with AtlasAir I recall bumping into you in Anchorage, happy travels, Im with Cathay Cargo, so we will cross paths somewhere.
I miss South Korea. Was stationed there for two years, loved it!! Flew into Incheon many times. Currently training out of KVGT and my goal is to do what you do!🫡👍
Love the vlog! how old or when did you start your pilot path/career? anything to share about what you could have known before starting your studies? can you share any other vlogs while you were studying/training? my daughter wants to become a pilot and I'm starting with setting up a flight sim and getting the flight sim 2024(well this for me also XD). thanks!!!
Congratulations! Do you watch AVL channel? They are based at LAX. Maybe they streamed your takeoff and landing before. 747 is awesome, still the Queen in the sky. Changsha looks great but weather is too hot. Yeah tour guide for sure. I will need one as well. How is your language speaking skills in China?
@@okolemahu So you're saying pilots aren't intelligent? Is that it? Lmao maybe you need a reality check and a mirror because you sure as hell aren't intelligent.
It is so inspiring to see a young woman being a pilot, especially flying the queen of the skies. All the best for your career esther.
Most pilots dream of flying the 747. You did it :}. Congats

Uhoh okay will have to film more!

Best camera that doesn't overheat would be a camcorder but if it's like only 30 minutes then action camera 3 would be good
