I also quit Zwift because of increased price and started mywoosh. Workouts are absolutely fine for me. I go with whoosh now. Dont need more. Thx MyWoosh!
with new price increase I can't justify 20 dollars per month to cycle indoors IMO, I don't think the platform is that good, therefore I am now looking to switch. I see it works now on Apple TV
I ordered my trainer last week, then I hear about the price increase lol... 240 a year is reaching a bit, that's basically a gym membership! I'm sure many zwifters will feel the same way and look for alternatives.
With Zwift price increase I'm 100% migrating to MyWhoosh. Just looking to have some workouts. I like the gamification part of it, but in the end it doesn't matter. U$15 was already pushing it. $20 is a no go for me.
I have a mid-tier gaming laptop which runs Zwift without raising a sweat. However, when I tried to download My Whoosh I was told that my laptop didnt have the necessary computing power to run it. So that is the end of that. Zwift wins.
ipad pro m1 runs mywhoosh flawlessly. So I wouldn't call that very resource intensive. Haven't tried other devices though, maybe mobile one is better made.
the new version, MyWhoosh Go, runs MUCH better. Before I was unable to run it, but now I can, no problems. Just in time with the rise of prize of zwift
I've had 12 months off zwift and cycling due to having two prolapsed discs. In the last 4 weeks with my back slowly recovering I've been slowly building up my cycling again as and I was considering using zwift for my Winter training. However, I think I'm going to try MyWhoosh for a while at least. If it doesn't work out I can always re-install zwift. It looks pretty decent though so hopefully it'll work out for me :)
I normally train indoors with golden cheetah but just to make the training less of a boredom tried mywhoosh and zwift. Mywhoosh is sadly not stable enough, losing my training data multiple times over the winter. Also during races it just got lost very often, so that i couldn't finish the race because there wasn't a finish line at the end of the race. I still motivated myself to try the esports racing, however to be able to get a mywhoosh pass to participate in races, you need a secondary powermeter, which i don't have on my training bike. So, it didn't work for me either. It is also missing any strava segments and while training you are not putting time on the leaderboards, so it offers no gamification at all, other then sad graphics with parked SUVs on the roadside. Zwift on the other hand delivers a much more streamlined and fun environment and lets you play around. The companion app is also good to follow your data while watching something else on the screen.
I'm going to do the same thing and give whoosh a go. I'm recovering from two prolapsed discs 12 months ago so don't really want to be £17.99 a month in case I get more issues with my back.
@@mudgie069 been using My whoosh quite a bit, found it easy to setup and I prefer the graphics on my whoosh. While they do have. Paid version you don't need it unless you want more maps and gear, for just cycling the free version is more than enough content there
Currently this platform serves the public image of UAE (United Arabic Emirates), termed as "sportswashing". You should know the postion of UAE towards human rights. In addition the connection to World Tour Team UAE Emirates is too strong for my liking, no attempt to neutrality. As often in life when something is for free: there is a snag.
Kind of similar to the saudi's with LIV golf. Just buying their way into competition and trying to pull enough users to get a critical mass. Id imagine they have a huge cash burn, but to your point they probably don't care because of the "sportswashing" aspect
Great video and a really good perspective 👏100% agree with the amount of riders compared to Zwift 👍 As a Zwift live streamer I don't think MyWhoosh would have the same viewership; yet 🤔
I think there is a lot of interest in the platform itself (and about videos about how the platform compares to Zwift), but in terms of overall MyWhoosh content, the userbase is way smaller than Zwift ATM and that really shows in the views on YT.
@@ZRaceCentral Magene. It's dual sensor with Bluetooth and Ant+. I buy ant dongle and with it all working. As I understand bluetooth support is not good.
You say zwift is full of bugs, mywhoosh is totally infested with bugs, they fix one bug (after months) and introduce X amount of other new bugs, awful experience overall.
Why is everyone looking for an alternative. Zwift is good how it is. No need to reinvent the wheel! Indoor cycling for $15/month is way cheaper than riding outside with flat tires and repair kits/CO2.
@@weilliam Everyone always want something for nothing. The membership fee is worth the features in my opinion. $15/month is cheap if it motivates someone to workout, connect with others and stay healthy.
@@cicirunner And now Zwift raised it to $20/month... I think that's quite expensive for what you get honestly. Meanwhile you can buy a PC game with much more advanced graphics at the same one time cost and play it online for free for years. If you treat Zwift like a normal PC game which is pretty much is, it's expensive.
@@erik.... True I see where you're coming from. I think it comes down to how serious you are about training and how much time you spend doing it. If you train for Ironmans or at least several hours per week then I think it justifies the price. It's cheaper than gym membership at least. I do hate the gradual increase in all memberships though. Wish you could lock in a price as long as you never cancel it.
I Zwift for the motivation to ride harder. I don't want to ride on empty roads, therefore MyWhoosh will never see the color of my money. Also with all due respect, maybe show more of the game and less of your mug. ; )
Came back to try new worlds. Still had problems connecting my bike to Mywhoosh and resistance did not feel right. Also, all the banners and graffiti on the natural rides are just way too distracting. Why would there be spray paint on rocks and trees, just plain silly. And the banners. You do not need one every 5 feet again silly. Most of the time can not even read them they're just ugly and ruin the experience. even though it is free, zwift still offers a better experience.
MyWhoosh has much more resources and is developing at a much faster rate. There are also many who use MyWhoosh as their primary platform. Zwift is the bigger company and easily remains the king right now, but things are starting to change.
Hi Dear, I hope you are doing well. I am a TH-cam video SEO expert. I was analyzing your TH-cam channel. I am really impressed by your videos, but your TH-cam channel has some issues. It's 'sadder' now in Zwift with a big price hike. Yes, I have switched to MyWhoosh and was hooked❤❤
