Hi Rich😊 Well it's finally happened, my MT410 is built and I gotta say, for a first time ever RC build it went extremely well, but only because of the time and effort you put into your videos. From building to soldering to painting you've been there the whole way, so a very big thank you from downunder!!!! The only question I have remaining is your prefered rx8 gen2 setup, Im just interested to know and obviously dont want to blow anything up. My build setup is virtually identical to yours😉 Here's my current which feels far from perfect. Led 1 = 1, led 2 = 5, led 3 = 11, led 4 = 5, led 5 = 2, led 6 = 3, led 7 = 4. Thanks again Rich!!
Nice! The reason I like Tekin so much, is that the ESC's come pretty well set up out of the box. I'm running 100% stock except full sensored mode and I have the BEC for the Servo set at 7.4v
The RCNetwork Awesome, thanks Rich!! This truck really is something else. You can watch video after video, but its not until you actually have the controller in your hand and you see this in action that you get to truly appreciate it!! Unreal😊 Thanks again!!
AWESOME as usual Rich! Love the color scheme, blue is my favorite as well. I can't wait to see the running video of this thing. I've been looking to buy a new monster truck, and I'm holding out to see how things go between this truck and the Outcast.
Thanks Max. Gotta wait for the ground to dry up a bit in SoCal before I run this.....stay tuned! between this and the Outcast? Dollar to Dollar - of course the Outcast is instant gratification and driving on day one....but a perfect performance package? The Tekno, hands down.
Well....this is a hypothetical Monster truck...full independent suspension...the math just doesn't work.....I'm just comparing it to similar vehicles on the market
This thing is sick! I'm doing the 93 Ford body and the Proline 40 series Trenchers with no offset. Hopefully they work out well on mine. Thanks for inspiration.
After running this some is your setup working out for you with the pinion and everything? I just ordered a MT410 and a Sct410.3 and ready to build them both for some bashing and racing. Thank you and love the videos.
awsome as always Rich...looking forward in getting one... it tends to sit a bit on its back... how are you going to deal with/tune it? thicker oil? stronger/longer springs?
+Szabi ESz I haven't fully tuned the truck yet. Still need to set ride height (yeah the rear's a bit low) and set all the camber/toe, etc. I needed to get this video out!
I have Sct410.3 and i put a 40mm diameter motor on it. Because of the increased size, 16T pinion is the minimum to fit the motor. Does MT410 has this problem?
No, it will be too small.....If you watch my Pro4 MT video, I show the two side by side....where the Pro4MT uses a 1/10th scale body vs. the MT410 uses an 1/8th
OK, so it is an 8 scale MT. I wonder why Tekno is naming it a 10 scale? Anyway, now I know what to buy when it comes to a MT kit version. Thx for presenting it.
after speaking with them, they named it a 1/10th scale because of the Traxxas E-Revo (which unfortunately) is the best known MT (truggy) on the market. This is def the MT to get!
+The RCNetwork Indeed I have. But I don't think I'll go for it, One I cant afford it with all the electronics and two, I have never built a kit before and Kyosho instructions aren't the best. Thanks for the reply btw, liked and subbed :)
Hey i know this video is older but how do you feel about deans connectors? Im looking at getting the EXACT same set up in my mt410 kit and im bouncing back in forth between xt90 and deans. would deans be a choking point in the electronic system?
hey rc network thanks for your quality vlogs im an Australian and i watch ozircplayground but vas doesn't do anything on hi quality kits as you do so that's why i watch you for that! i want to get a tekno mt410 can you tell me the most powerful tekin truggy motor i can fit in it as the chassis don't look like there is much room! or a castle system! what do you recommend for optimal power in that configuration?? Cheers Glenn
I thought a 2.5 sized body was needed for the MT410? Ive just built a D8MT or d8t with buggy chassis and rear shaft. Its similar dimensions to the tekno but a tad shorter and wider. I really want the raptor 2017 but cant buy a 3.3 size for fear it wont suit it. Check out my D8MT using ty tessman d8t and d812 chassis plus a hb ve8 rear shaft.

Very nice, you did a great job as usual, it concerns me a bit that the body might cave in when landing upside down once or twice, kind of like some sort of small roll bar on monster trucks other than that looks awesome!
I've crushed bodies in that had support! lol But in comparison, this PL body is thick. and being a MT that's super wide, I don't plan to be on the roof too much!
Just like you, Team Magic isn't really sold in the US unless it's imported. I'm not sure of the number sequence they have on model numbers, but the E6 goes for about $500 RTR, which is in line with an Arrma Outcast. If you dive into the details of the MT410 vs anything Team Magic, you'll find high quality components in the kit and of course, Tekno's racing heritage....they actually have a racing team that wins events. and they use the same components from the MT410. I also don't respect Team Magic as they're sold at Gear Best (Terrible company). But with all of that, it's just my opinion
The way I have this rig outfitted with all the electronics and Pro-Line body, wheels/tires - about a G and it's well worth it! Great monster truck - easily best on the market
Hi Rich, I wanted to ask you if you please can also review this monster truck with the ARMA Outcast. As I am thinking of buying one of them but I think that the Tekno MT410 is more durable. Can you please make a video about the parts if they are easy to buy or not and if there is a 6S in this truck would this one beat the ARMA Outcast? Thanks in advance :-)
I've answered this question many times.......you are comparing a $500 RTR (Arrma Outcast) to a $449 KIT (Tekno MT410) you will need at least $500 in parts to make the kit work (electronics, wheels, tires and body).....So in actuality, this is a $500 RC vs a $1000 RC. The Tekno is by far more durable (look at the A Arms), adjustable (everything is adjustable) and the quality of components is better than the Arrma. Is the Arrma terrible? No, it's not.....but if you want that "next level" the MT410 is the way to go. Not every one wants to build and outfit a kit....and as far as "6s"? Any of my well outfitted 4s vehicles will stomp a "6s" vehicle any day of the week. Don't get sucked into the voltage war by trying to over-volt your rig. Power it right and you will be super happy. Hope this helps!
I like that one much better than the Aarma but my old MGT from Associated is the best independent suspension monster I have ever driven. Yes it's Nitro, but it is a beast and Nitro is so fun to drive.
It's a small section to clear the bumper. You could raise the body up with the body mounts and not trim it....but I like having the body as low as possible (think COG)
if you add any more power to this thing....it may completely atomize into thin air!!! Heysus this things gonna soar like an eagle, an American Eagle! #gotekno #itsaplane
They call it 1/10th because this is 1/10th scale in relation to a real size monster truck, people forget that the scale isn't supposed to be similar between genres of rc. It is it's relation to the size of a real version of the car or truck.
I hear ya, but like I said in the video....1/8th scale driveline, electronics, body, wheel/tires in relation to other 1/8th scale MT's on the market. They simply called it 1/10th scale because of the Revo.
@@TheRCNetwork that's what I thought lol but I have most alu upgrades like centre housing and alu rear diff and ottsix sticky tires they are heavy. I might get this because the weight is good thanks for reply and great vids.
It is 1/10 scale, because it is the same size like a 1/10 SCT and a real MT wouldn't be smaller than a real SCT... A real buggy is smaller than a real SCT, thats why the 1/8 buggy has the same size like a 1/10 SCT. The scale only describes the size, not the components used.
Not really.....a good example are rally cars. They're out there in 1/8th, 1/10th, 1/9th, etc And the 1/10th (Traxxas) is bigger than the W8 from HPI that's classified as a 1/8th. Scale's are all relative (in RC) to the electronics they run and typically the wheel hex size. In this case, 17mm hexes and 4s-6s powersystem= 1/8th scale
wow that thing looks awsome! Great job putting it together. The years is almost out and already I rate this at top 5 trucks of the year lol.
Yep, this easily hits my top 5!
thanks rc network will stick with tekin as yourself! thanks again for the quality program keep them coming!!! Cheers Glenn
Nice bodyshell and cool color scheme,l love blue!
I've always loved midnight blue....ever since it was on my '67 Mustang
im realy into the metalic blue..tubm up on the build

Thanks John!
i used the delrin pistons and cartridges. i can't believe how smooth the shocks are.
Absolutely gorgeous!

I run that same body on my E-Revo. Really like it on monster trucks. Yours looks good!

MrGdbsti05 you won't be disappointed! Hands down, best MT in its class
What setting did u change in the esc? Or did u leave the default settings. Brake. Not sure what to do. What are your comfort setting on this truck.
Guy Rose pretty much stock other than Sensored only, 7.4v on the BEC and motor rotation.
Looking great! Superb work and thanks for the reveal. I'm guessing this truck is going to be massively enjoyable to use and own. Hope so.....👍
It should be. Tekno is known for performance and durability. This should be right in line!
look forward to seeing it run mate. what do u estimate the total cost for it to replicate what you have there?
right over a G
cheers, thats what i thought. expensive, but high quality. very, very nice.
I agree with your option in batteries. Gen ace are my favorite.
Yep, GensAce FTW!

This thing is sick! I'm doing the 93 Ford body and the Proline 40 series Trenchers with no offset. Hopefully they work out well on mine. Thanks for inspiration.
Nice! Be careful on the Trenchers....Tekno has a chart out on which trenchers fit
Yeah the chart says the 40 series Trenchers fit, but might require some body trimming. Maybe because of the zero offset when they balloon.
When do we get to see the running video? CANT WAIT!!!!!
I've had some weather issues in SoCal, otherwise, should be able to run it on Friday and have the video out next week
The RCNetwork sweet can't wait for mine to come in... Thanks for what you do....👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
OK what one you like better the MT410 looks pretty good so far!
You can't beat a Tekno kit!
because of you rich I have fallen in love with the mt410 . so thank you .
And thanks for watching!
We're about to build ours. Maybe we can do a play date.
Hey Derek, I think we can arrange that. grounds a bit wet still anyways...
Like the truck can't wait to see how it hands the beatings. Great vid and always love the paint!
Thanks 5150! Yeah, it turned out great!
Im about to start building mine.. what cunnectors do u use on your batteries
Guy Rose I use Deans on all my 4s cars.
@@TheRCNetwork whyyyy? It's more resistance than xt90s
I am going to make one, but as a 2020 jeep gladiator unlimited Rubicon, but is the steering servo for a 1/8 or a 1/10?

Why do you enunciate everything so heavily?
superleggera just speaking like I normally do.....I don't script any of my videos....it's the way I talk
The RCNetwork Hah sall good! Guess that's just how California can sound :1
The RCNetwork
The WR8 uses 1/10 components so I won't really classify it as 1/8.
But another example.
If I tuned a 1/10 with a 4-6s combo, 17mm hexes, etc...
Would it be a 1/8 then?
