Had fun trying to attach the players to the situations! Monte cook has a similar idea to the one you mentioned (where due to something unique to the setting people can just randomly vanish) and I do like the idea. Just a sham if it is at a plot critical point you want everyone to be a part of or you have a smaller group.
Superb advice and always things to consider as a GM. On a seperate note, you may not remember me, but you were my first GM back at LVS. I still remember the Copper Bottle Inn, and the skinless men campaign. Glad to see you're thriving and continuing to inspire new players and GMs. My channel, the content I've released, and the friends I've made are all because you made D&D awesome back as a school kid. So thanks
I had a campaign where at one point it was devised that the party had the option to split and pursue two different lines of the plot. In this case, we intend to follow 1 line with those players who had decided not to go this route, creating a new character and visa versa for the second route.
@paulcrowther4514 That's an interesting option. It makes sense if the split is going to be long-term. How regularly did you move between the two sets of characters?
Would love to see a video on last minute improve due to players. Either advice, or your own experience/ best stories that you’ve had as a DM. I know I’ve had a few, including having to invent a Spa for my player to go to last minute… and a spa owner called Yum-Yum.

Wow! LVS that's a blast from the past. 😊
Glad to hear you're still playing - and great work on your own channel!

@@The.Game.Cave. the campaign was set out as chapters so thats where we tended to bounce to the other party. It seemed a natural point to switch
I know who that sneaky player is and that rule abuse still grinds my gears
Lol! I suspect you do know!

@@Firedoomcaster That's a great idea. Thanks - I shall give it some thought 😊
