You should check out Rocket Adrift’s “Dark Future Dice”. 90 percent of watching people on youtube playing Tabletop RPG’s is painful.. nothing like watching socially awkward people trying to be funny or entertaining.. but theirs is pretty entertaining. This gets 5 Mike Pondsmith stars, raising it from a 6 at best to an 11. Theirs is a natural 10.

In any case, CR has a bunch of different music from a bunch of different game companies (Bethesda, Blizzard, etc.) simply because they're all active VAs and can easily ask companies that they regularly do work for for the rights, CDPR is far from being alone in that regard.

I didn't even notice Matthew until he started talking, hackers is one of my favorite movies of all time, was truly inspiring when I was a kid (over 20 years later and I'm still coding). What a bonus seeing him on this video.

I really like how Mike paints the environment that these players will be in. It might be a bit too word heavy and a bit too much info all at once but I think its just something most people will get used too. I guess its a good way to introduce people how to run a game like this from the guy who made it.

Love the character illustrations - as a high school kid I grew up playing CP2020. For my final year art project I depicted my friends who were in a band as CP characters in this style. All I got was blank looks - heh. Hindsight 20/20.
The entire series is great, but I have to say that my favorite part in this video was around 40:15. I love how Jason was going to say something but decided to let Mike speak, and that decision brought an amazing reaction.
I imagine even Gary Gygax made a few mistakes here and there. I mean, he developed A LOT of different games, often ranging from a shit-ton of rules to a fuck-ton of rules, he would need an eiditic memory, or at least a lesser savant factor, to keep it all straight consistently.

It would be cool for a Warhammer esque war game, but typically RPGs work best in the moments where tensions are high, and war is nigh. Though there would still be plenty of opportunity for espionage and assassinations in a corporate war.
I think he's referring to the Firestorm storyline, which kicks off in 2022 and ends with Johnny Silverhand and Morgan Blackhand nuking Arasaka and kicking off -Cyberpunk V3- the Time of the Red era
It seems like the feel of the atmosphere of Cyberpunk-RED is like a mix between Richard Stanley's 'HARDWARE' and Villenieve's BladeRunner 2049. Just the way how America is trying to come back and start over from the brink of destruction, after the Night city attack. Basically a 'cyberpunk' setting but with a smidge of post apocalyptic atmosphere.
I’m working and listening to this and I gotta say. Pondsmith and the cast of characters here do an excellent job of providing good imagery to where I can visualize the scenes in my mind. I’ll be listening to more

@@deshawn1801 I know next to nothing about black nerd culture, but... I've heard that it's because nerdy interests are relatively stigmatized for a lot of black men? At least, that's what I learned living in New Orleans for a few years.

Oh wow, Mike Pondsmith DM'ing the game he created! So great to watch, I could listen to him for hours (and have in the Cyberpunk 2077 radio station). All the player are amazing too! I love Matthew Lillard basically playing his character from Hackers (and sometimes Shaggy)!
