    It's not a commercial mower by any means but I've had the alko/solo for years and it's definitely earned its keep. Only thing it's needed was a new drive belt fitted. Nice review 👍

    Thanks for the great video. We have had a Wolf Garten Expert 92.160 H for 9 years. It is a powerful twin-cylinder with a Japanese Kawasaki FS 451 engine assembled in the USA. We are very satisfied. Since the first day of purchase, I have been servicing it myself at home, even though it was under warranty. I didn't want to risk it and have it serviced. Most service technicians are honest and do a good job, but not all are. If you come across a demotivated, dishonest, poorly paid service technician, it can be very bad, because you cannot check at home whether some of the services were done correctly. Our tractor is 9 years old, over 300 Mth (Moto-hours). The only thing we had to change so far was the battery after 8 years, probably because we accidentally charged it with a different charger than the original one for gel batteries that were included in the delivery. Our tractor has a quality Turf Torq hydrostatic transmission. We bought it for a promotional price of 2750 Euros, even with a lifter in 2014 - I personally would never buy a tractor with only one cylinder. Our tractor is very well made, and massive, with a high-quality engine, gearbox, and a very good design. It consumes about 2 liters of gasoline per Moto hour. During the last service, I made a video of all the service operations and various things that are good advice for owners of garden tractors and other brands and published it in the form of a service tutorial on TH-cam on my AFGAdviceFromGarage channel. If anyone is interested, type "Wolf Garten Expert" into Google, and you should definitely find them or click the youtube link included. There will definitely be more than 10 parts, where I will deal with various things such as changing the oil, cleaning the air filter, properly charging the battery, lubricating, etc. Hope this helps someone. There will also be subtitles in English, whether automatic or those that I enter manually. Greetings and thanks again for the interesting video. Good luck. th-cam.com/play/PL59Co9iveKer9g4rrZDEPKvWcrDqBVaLC.html

      @@MachineryNation Great review thank you very helpful. In your closing comments you state "the Al-ko is easily the most powerful engine here". Show was trying to understand this comment. I was going for the Stiga 792 w but your review has got me thinking and made me wonder if I should go for the Alko. If the Alko is indeed more powerful assume it will handle slopes better? But if the stiga is a substantially more powerful engine it should have more torque? And be quicker and handle slopes better? Also you mention the Stiga is slow wonder why this is the case? The Sitga weighs 225kg [The Alko weight more 250kg] . The Stiga has a substantially more powerful engine so why is it slower then the Alko? Many thanks for your help

    • @MachineryNation
      @MachineryNation  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ReolinkKu It all boils down to how the machines are set up between the engine and the item it is powering whether that be the transmission or the blades. When you start the blades on the AL-KO you can hear the vacuum it is creating (hence my hand gesture in that scene) so to follow up on my final thoughts
      The Stiga has the most powerful engine but the AL-KO is producing the most power. I hope this makes sense.

    The only thing that he didn’t mention about cutting grass that is wet again it’s about the tires. You will leave marks in wet grass. If you don’t have good tires that are designed that will not leave marks on your long anyway who in the hell want to cut their grass when it’s wet but in the climate for me, I would have turf saving tires. They have the grip to propel the lawnmower but they don’t leave grooves in your long tire pressure is very crucial when you are cutting wood grass again it is about the type of lawn more. You got the mulching type of blade you have that single blade well leaves twirls in your grass do blades are more better. Three blades are better than much, but you Gotta make sure to have the best blade you can buy you go you buy them cheap blade, Simpson blades, they are designed to rust. They are designed to bend if you hit anything, and they are designed to not be sharpened as much as you can go to a Professional Von company the one that the professionals go to you can get a different kind of blade for this kind of lawnmower that will last you longer and sharper grass. If you want a good cut you Gotta keep the blade sharp if you want to know how to remove the blade from any lawnmower I have a way to do that too, I also have a weed that you don’t have to remove the blade order to sharpen the blade. They do make a drill attachment with a 45 stone on it that you can sharpen your blade.

  • @rickcarr6993
    @rickcarr6993 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    All them on Mars are a piece of junk they’re just over read price you wanna know what the best riding lawnmower is that’s easy to service easy to go and does the job grant you you have to change something on it
    And it’s not a pocket breaker by doing self I don’t care what kind of ride lawnmower you got but you have to get the type of blade that’s what makes a good lawnmower will matter if you’re riding on a beat up lawnmower are you going out and spend $10,000 on John Deere or Kabota whatever I’m gonna tell you what the best lawnmower is
    The best lawnmower that I have ever owned, and I was in lawn care business for a long time and that was a 42 inch troy Bilt zero turn and I’ll tell you why
    The reason I say a troy, Bilt is the easiest, the best lawnmower that you could ever on it because instead of you going to a dealer, you can order the part right from the place you bought at Home Depot or Lowe’s. I forget now which one has this type of lawnmower, but a troy Bilt is probably the easiest lawnmower that you would ever want to on. It’s easy to work on spindles you can almost pick them up The same day at Home Depot or Lowe’s I forget which one has it but I know you can pick up a spindle you don’t have to go buy a specialty belt for zero turn 42 inch you can go to any auto parts store and pick one up you could even pick one up at Walmart if they carry it in the automotive department The decks do you have clean them and that’s why most of them come with a hose attachment where you can clean it and I have Stella sitting up turn it on turn on the hose clean it right where you want to I usually clean it at one of my clients house I get to host I go out there and that this clean
    Then blow it into the grass or slow your roll route again the blade don’t go and buy a blade from Home Depot or Lowe’s or Ace Hardware. They’re thin go to a rug or lawn care company by yourself what they call gator blade or mulching blade tell me want wanna sticker my blade is a star pattern works great mulch right in and you can go change it very easily not that hard last long the pipe blades it’s the type of blade that when it cut its throws it up do you have these fins on it? I want to comes back down it cuts again we’re good for the grass doesn’t leave trails.
    Easy to find parts for engine 17 horse, good engine like in the engine. You got a put good oil in it.
    The spindles come with grease fittings in it and you have to grease it. It’s not too hard even at harbor freight. You can pick yourself up a grease gun reset about every 10 hours 20 hours of use seat can be comfortable. You can always buy a seat cover for it works good zero turn best thing you ever would want on some models they have where you can flip a switch and you come up backwards get around the bushes is to maneuver once you go to a zero turn, you’ll never wanna go back to that steering wheel, that’s the time that you have to weeded with a zero turn
    So you talk about all these lawnmowers if you can’t get parts from her, you have to send them to the shop or you have all these extra bells and whistles that you have to deal with troy Bilt zero turn 42 inch is the best lawnmower that I have ever owned, and I have some really good lawnmowers in my time and the best push lawnmower is a Toro self-propelled six horse engine again it all depends on the blade and how often you sharpen it. That model comes with a bagger in the back are you can close it and use it as a mulcher there is a commercial model that has a little bit bigger tank, but the engine is the same. I don’t recommend that you get a Honda all wheel drive, it pulls it self pretty good, but you have problems with the plastic gears in the drive system on the back of the wheel, and they tend to wear out, but you can order the ones that are metal the more the best
    A Honda engine is probably the best engine you can buy for a walk behind lawnmower HONDA didn’t make a walk behind that have a aluminum deck. That’s the best one tub for me. I will take a Toril put a Honda engine on it and again it’s all about the blade and keeping it sharp Changing the oil in any lawnmower belts are easy to buy. You can get them at any auto parts store. Again, you have to maintain the cables and the best spark plugs is probably champion dual point plugs Spitfire plugs are great to anything that has that duel fork plug is probably the best maintaining is just making sure the blade is sharp change the oil change the plug and I’ll need two lawnmowers. You will have a winner. Everybody talks about weed eaters. Echo are probably the best weedeater I have ever owned. Edger, same thing, hedge trimmer, same thing, blower, same thing cause they all use the same spark plugs. They all use the same carburetor and when you’re cutting your grass for a living, it’s so easy just to take a carburetor off and replace it and less than 10 minutes learn how to repair them. They are so easy to repair usually just a can of carburetor cleaner Will do the job the other trick to all lawn care equipment is what you’re mixing them see foam is always recommend and all your gas products use it in your lawnmower it helps protect your engine. Your pistons keeps your carburetor, clean and less maintenance on your combustible engine. Make sure that you mix your gas accordingly too much oil in the gas bogs your spark plugs down too much carbon in your carburetor same thing, two stroke three stroke better you use seafoam in your gas and mix your gas to good measurement
    Edging blades try to find yourself a place that does metal work and have them cut and punched a hole for your edgers. The metal will be thicker and last longer the best line for a weedeater is the titanium 05 the titanium has metal infused in the plastic in the last a lot longer when you’re doing sidewalks up against metal fences up against brickwork very tough weedeater line to Owner because it contains the cable infused with plastic last long time
    One of the saying, I want to say when you’re doing in kind lawn care make sure you got that nice brown hat keep the sun off you wear a cooling towel when you dip in water ring that thing out a little bit put around your neck. stay cool on a hot days and everybody want to carry around , that’s a real mess but the best thing if you’re going to go out there and move for a couple hours or so if you want to get that water canteen to go on your back camelback you get thirsty you’re carrying a water run on your back and you’ll have your cooling towel and it’s not so hard to throw a couple ice cubes in at Camelback keep your back real cool that’s the best mom equipment I can tell you that’s the best way to mow your grass. Happy cutting.
