A man is in critical condition after he was shot by a homeowner in the Hollywood Hills when he attempted to break into her home Sunday night. Jeff Nguyen reports.
It's always been like that in red states. Even in blue cities in red states. Like Atlanta. You can shoot a home invader with your legally owned gun. Nothing new.
Awesome. Bless her heart. Sorry for her trauma. I just had someone vandalizing my building, cops showed up and let him walk away. I'm in L.A. County of course. Law enforcement does nothing.
Good for her. He was pushing on her door, it doesn’t matter the reason. Once she asked him (repeatedly) to leave , warning him she had a gun, he knew the situation but chose to risk getting shot.
Thank God for the second amendment! Since our politicians, DA's, judges exedra, won't do their job. F around and find out. Law and order the good old fashioned way.
So you could try to break into someone's home in LA, end up getting shot, get taken to the hospital and NOT get arrested?! "What in the (Gascon) hell is even that?! " -Daddy Chill Dad
@@kendallevans4079 It's not even a 2nd Amendment issue. Under California law if someone unlawfully enters your home it's perfectly legal to shoot them.
*"outside, inside".. doesn't matter "imminent threat of great bodily harm" .. that's all that matters... the criminal was breaking into her house to cause great bodily harm*
More bad grammar from KCAL 9 . " Homeowner "shots" a man trying to break into her home" Are you telling us you don't proof read your reports? That's embarrassing Anyway good job by the homeowner. Go get 'em tiger
CA justice officials: "We can't allow this to happen in anyone's neighborhood. People should not have to live in fear. We will work tirelessly until this homeowner is tried and convicted for using a firearm."
The suspect thought this woman was a soft target. Well, like Homeboy said in Back To The Future III: "You Thought Wrong, Dude." Now the homeowner needs to lawyer up..💵💵
Good luck with that! Once the perps (most likely Armos) family gets a ambulance chasing "personal attorney" and file a CIVIL case! The home owner will, most likely be financially ruined.
*NO in California once self defense is justified any civil case will be thrown out... most states have similar statues. CA self defense laws have been in the books since 1872*

She better not get charged.
You should expect to be shot when breaking into someones home.
One word, BRAVO! 👏👏👏 Don't be afraid to protect and defend you and your family.
That dog looked right into the camera like “ I don’t know what I would do either” lol
Yeah that ferocious dog...
We have gotten to this because the government failed to protect the homeowners.
Screw the government.
And how do you suppose the government could have helped the homeowner in this case?

Self defense on private property pertecting herself and assets
This is why you shouldn't dodge jury duty. If the homeowner is charged, all it takes is one holdout to not convict.
Great point!
Yes! Street justice served. We need more brave people like this woman. I hope the felon never recovers from his injuries.
Lady had bigger balls than the perp
Thank god she was about to defend herself!
At 01:44 her dog looked like you best get a gun. I have not been trained for that
Lmao!
😂😂😂😂
LOL!

Good job, mate. That's why most Americans need to own a gun. It is for self-defence.
I disagree, if MOST of America owned guns, this country would become a disaster.
Fix the typo, it's not "Shots".
They can't, changing it would imply discrimination and racism toward the intern who wrote that title.
@@bobbymoss6160Should have realized that, I keep forgetting that everyone gets an award today! LOL
😂😂
Defend yourself. Nobody else is going to do it for you.
That’s right.

"Hollywood Hills homeowner shots a man trying to break into her home" Ya know, words are supposed to be YOUR THING. Did she shot him? Really?
I know. Idiots get hired without an ounce of education.
glad to hear more stories of good guys defending themselves with tools equal to or more than what bad guys have.
Tools aka Weapons
*shoots

Second amendment my as, use common sense. Screw these laws.
Too bad he still alive..and wasting our tax $ on medical.

This will be an interesting test case since he was outside. But since the guy isn't dead, she'll probably be given a medal.
This isn't the first time it's happened.
It will be....the whole "Castle Doctrine" rag that the 2nd amendment hillbillies love to squeeze out their corn holes is not realistic!

It DOES matter. You don't understand the legal system, apparently...
Next time, READ THE TITLE OUT LOUD before posting.
if this happened in alameda county, aunty pam would have press charges against the homeowner.
Pass a law that makes a perp getting shot when in the midst of breaking into someone's home legal.
*Hey Cali? How's that social experiment working out for ya? Enquiring minds want to know!* 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
01:40 That dog 🐕 was like sheeet I'm not bout to be fighting strangers for her! 😂
Way to go Faye! 💙
Don’t break into someone’s home, you might get SHOOT!
Your headline on this clip says "shots" instead of "shoots", you might want to fix that.
That loser is never gonna work.
I hope he doesn't make it. Kudos to the homeowner.
File this under "the feel good story of the day"
lol dont break into someones home and you wouldnt be getting made fun of on the internet
*shoots*
Literally every news headline I see on youtube anymore has a typo in it 🤦♂️
He won't do THAT again!
I’m pretty sure Gascon is by the criminals bedside holding his hand and preparing to charge the homeowner with gun charges. Welcome to LA.
*bout time Snowflake City residents fight back!* 👋🏾
Good and let that be a lesson for the rest of the criminals out there.

Hopes she has a good lawyer
He should have been in the morgue!
I've noticed quite a few misspelled words in news captions today...
CA justice officials: "We can't allow this to happen in anyone's neighborhood. People should not have to live in fear. We will work tirelessly until this homeowner is tried and convicted for using a firearm."
Hopefully, the thief is no more?
The right to bear arms!!
"shoots" a man. Spell/reader check.
SHOW THE FACE DAMN IT!
Good news...now taxpayers are stuck with the hospital bill...
what is 'shots' ?? Shot is the past tense of shoot . How can they write 'shots', when it should be shoots.😅
Now the family will serve the homeowner for a civil lawsuit, glad I left Crapafornia
Not in California. If self defense is justified any civil case will be thrown out.
Lets support 2nd A👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank goodness she was not Anti-gun or else this outcome would of been a lot different
Newsom writing these titles while smoking his crack pipe
Yasss!!!
Homeowner shoots not shots. You do have people who can proof your posts, right?
Who’s editing your grammar?
Gascon boiling in anger lol
Shots a man… take the time to read your thumbnails
Oh Well !!
0:16 😮She probably was scared😨 😦😳 and she shot him.
SHOOTS NOT SHOT 😂
The person who wrote the title needs to study 4th grade English grammar.
What? You never heard about a man get shotted?
Yup. Keep poppin’ ‘em.
The suspect thought this woman was a soft target. Well, like Homeboy said in Back To The Future III: "You Thought Wrong, Dude." Now the homeowner needs to lawyer up..💵💵
*she doesn't need to "lawyer up"... criminals need to lawyer up.. what she did is legal self defense under California law*
Everybody has em
Just know that
So you wanna mess around
You’ll find out
Hello??!! It’s shoots!! Probably college graduates that wrote this
Shoots**
hope it was a thug and not a crazy person.
Proof read your title!
But Democrat said you don’t need gun.
OH YEAH💪💪💪💪💪💪
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉yes that’s why 2A is for the American people
1:43 Yeah, that dog is going to spring into action when BLM comes.
People do have guns, she says 😂
Doesn't sound like her life wasn't in danger. She should be arrested and gun taken away. Police should file criminal charges against her.
Nice try troll 😂🤡

You really think a jury is going to award damages to someone who was trying to break into a house?
