Welcome back Silvio! I have been looking forward to the start of your 2023 Christmas Village. You really showed more than I thought you would for episode 1. That Lighthouse and building H are amazing and I love the use of the string to give a layout design without committing yourself to that design! Lemax and Dept 56 could really take some lessons from you to created different era's of Christmas and not be stuck on Modern and Dickens style. I also can't stand those Lemax buildings with giant soda bottles, Ice Cream Cones and Coffee grinders attached to the buildings! I especially like how you inter-connected the modulars of the lighthouse to keep it together and not be hot glued together! You always amaze me!

This season I will try to be less selfish and to reveal the maximum in each episode.
Right now, I don't think that Lemax or Dept 56 are much inclined to take any of my advices after all the pestilence I've dropped on them.
But I think of honesty above all in these cases.
I forgot to mention that when segmenting a 3D model, I generally use little pyramids as keys and Boolean commands.

Thank you for sharing. I am happy you are showing such details because people always ask how long it takes to set up our village without understanding what the time it takes to custom things like lights, buildings, etc. I will continue to follow...and maybe get started also!

I just hope not to be singled out as an extremist and to move away from tradition by using more and more 3D printed models.
But modeling them and printing them is always faster than build everything from scratch. Not to mention that the market offers almost no innovations to allow us to progress in the construction of our villages.

That lighthouse was the first building I 3D modeled and then printed for the 2023 village.
The idea for the flashing light circuit came to me only a couple of months later.
A little advice if I may: don't get infected by my total and absolute mental madness.
