It's Just Gardening.
Gardening is simple, just plant it and let it grow. Gardening in the DMV area, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
I live in suburban Northern Virginia Zone 7a. I converted my front and back yard into a garden food forest, hoping to have all year-round produce.

The Sta Green looks like its 90+% bark fines, not bad if used like you did for the raised planter but unless a person is using that as their main citrus potting mix it would be trouble. Miracle Gro looks like it has more compost added to their pine bark fines. I missed that sale else i would have grabbed a few bags like you did. Normally I make my own mix using the bags of top soil from HD $1.79, Peat, Perlite, play sand, composted manure, pine bark mulch or rice hulls and then I add in nutrients. This makes me GALLONS of potting mix that I can adjust as needed for the varying potted tree's or in ground. You used it perfectly to add to the native soil

Thanks for sharing, I’m regretting the sta green after putting it as top layer, the water doesn’t penetrated thru it with my light watering method. The barks and coco peat soaked it up it not as good as the miracle grow. But I will more it with my clay soil this fall.
