It was so good to meet you at the Vendors and talking about playing rogue decks. (I brought Ursaluna control along.) I appreciate you so much taking some time out to have a chat.
Dudunsparce doesn't keep you from decking out. If you have 0 cards in deck and use the ability to shuffle it back. There's a chance you draw the evolution before the basic, and if that's the case, you can't place the basic down and evolve it in time because the basic will be your last card in deck, so when you draw it, you won't be able to evolve into it until the next turn, of which you will deck out on. It's a 50/50 whether you draw the basic or the evolution. If you draw the basic, you're good cause then you can evolve the next turn when you draw the evolution and do it again. But if you draw the evolution, you won't have enough time to evolve before you deck out. Edit: turns out dudunsparce doesn't work at all preventing deckout cause you can only shuffle it back if you drew any cards, which you can't do you have 0 in deck
@ajackson actually no, because you can only shuffle Dudunsparce back into the deck if you drew any cards through It ability, so it doesn't help prevent deck out at all.
Cool that you went to your first big tournament, they're so much fun. You should play next time. You'd do fine considering how much you play, I know I can't force myself to play more than a couple games on live
I wondered why dundunsparce isnt played more as a supporter pokemon. I mean 3 cards then the ability to do that again also keeping you from decking out. And supporter cards that allows you to get dunsparce out and then the evolution of it i mean sounds amazing but i guess it is less cards that some other supporter pokemon
because of our lord and savior, bibarel, and his unparalleled sustained draw power I personally adore Dunsparse and find him infinitely more fun, but it's a LOT easier for most decks to just churn out cards with Incisors than with Runaway Draw MoonMoon being an exception because that pivot is just so damn clutch
I'm building a paper Moon deck myself, and my understanding of Dudun is defense/recovery against hand disruption like Iono and Roxanne, as well as pivoting and recycling draw.
19:22 they had to bench Lugia V early because it doesn't KO the Roaring Moon, if you do not keep Dunsparce in play, they have to attack with Lugia VStar :) also, you shouldn't discard all your capsules because they could play Snorlax from Lost Origin and capsules help you stay out of Snorlax's range :)
also any psychic energy deck with Xatu DunDun you can just recicle your energy back when you don't need to over use energy on the board, it also works with charizard EX too and that scares me.
Dundunsparce prevents decking out if you have more than 1 card in the deck, it works if you have at least 2 Dunduns in play, “If you drew *ANY* cards this way” is how the loop works
It is possible to deck out since you must have cards in your deck to draw in order to use Dudunsparce's ability. With 0 cards you can just put him back into the deck. So if your opponent somehow mills your last cards you will deck out.
I wonder how it would work if you drop an ex and a Dark Energy and add in 1 Koraidon and 1 Fighting Energy? Just some food for thought to help get some early-game KOs on evolving Pokémon if you go second.
I’m currently playing ancient box on laddder. It’s probably not optimized as I don’t really play too much competitive tcgs but I’m in the Lugia league and I can’t recommend it enough.
I got so sick of the two mega decks rn I decided to scroll through the cards and find one I thought could be cool and found simisear vstar, can ohko hands, moon and gholdengo, doesn’t have any bad matchups and chien pao can ohko you anyway, you should try it
The player was a beginner for sure Dudunsparce prevents decking out as long as you have 2 in play Deck: 1 card Bench: dudunsparce and dunsparce Activate ability Draw 1, shuffle 2 The cards you draw are either the basic or the evolution. Anyway, you can evolve and repeat Next turn 2 cards in deck. Draw 1, have 1. Evolve shuffle 2 Rinse and repeat Unless you have that stupid fire Pokémon that discards 2

Of course! It was a great chat for me too. Lovely meeting you mate.

@ajackson actually no, because you can only shuffle Dudunsparce back into the deck if you drew any cards through It ability, so it doesn't help prevent deck out at all.
Well, if you have two lines down you can chain them to not deckout, thats how i won my round 13😋
Cool that you went to your first big tournament, they're so much fun. You should play next time. You'd do fine considering how much you play, I know I can't force myself to play more than a couple games on live
I saw you live behind rickey on the euic stram I were like "hold on i know that man"

And supporter cards that allows you to get dunsparce out and then the evolution of it i mean sounds amazing but i guess it is less cards that some other supporter pokemon
It also fits into any deck as a pivot because of its ability. In the late game it's super easy to find and chain
Well it’s new so I’m assuming people will put it in more
because of our lord and savior, bibarel, and his unparalleled sustained draw power

MoonMoon being an exception because that pivot is just so damn clutch
Bold move trying to convince us all that you aren't just a floating head.
I'm building a paper Moon deck myself, and my understanding of Dudun is defense/recovery against hand disruption like Iono and Roxanne, as well as pivoting and recycling draw.
Vengeful punch I believe is either a Palafin attack or the name of the attack from tm crisis protocol
That photobomb was amazing
You can still deck out with this deck, thats why i cut a roaring moon for another rod
Hey dude I was the man that thought that was playing against you in the EUIC. I told you that I followed you for your good energy in videos.
Sean FINALLY building a deck irl? Praise Arceus
Interesting tech for the mirror match is great tusk for the late game to potentially win via a deck out if you’re struggling on prizes
Omg you were at EUIC?! Damn I would've loved to ha met you IRL
Always another time mate!

[Noivern has entered the chat]
Proceeds to frenized gouge it anyway
[Laughs in Mist Energy]
@@kfd784 if Noivern get popular, this deck can just tech Temple of Sinnoh and gouge through the bat :)
Noivern ex and Bronzong is bonkers. I think I built a deck around them. Stopping evolutions and protecting against basics is pretty broken.
also any psychic energy deck with Xatu DunDun you can just recicle your energy back when you don't need to over use energy on the board, it also works with charizard EX too and that scares me.
I played against this deck on ladder today. I thought the lack of early game damage from Koraidon makes the deck too slow.
I've been playing this deck for days and it's so damn good
Dundunsparce prevents decking out if you have more than 1 card in the deck, it works if you have at least 2 Dunduns in play, “If you drew *ANY* cards this way” is how the loop works
Day 62! I actually saw you live at EUIC, had to double take the first time I noticed!
when he said "first ever standard deck" you can see a glimpse of a card and it was metang and i think we can safely guess its dialga
Ive been playing this deck for about a week and I think its currently my favorite, its fun and good.
It is possible to deck out since you must have cards in your deck to draw in order to use Dudunsparce's ability. With 0 cards you can just put him back into the deck. So if your opponent somehow mills your last cards you will deck out.

You can't really get to the numbers u need for koraidon because your benching dunsparce
Can you please try Gengar ex? I feel like you might really like it
IRL you need to have stamina to play that deck. All the shuffle and time to shuffle leads to long ass games
I’m currently playing ancient box on laddder. It’s probably not optimized as I don’t really play too much competitive tcgs but I’m in the Lugia league and I can’t recommend it enough.
If your struggling with charzard add iron leaves and some grass energy
I got so sick of the two mega decks rn I decided to scroll through the cards and find one I thought could be cool and found simisear vstar, can ohko hands, moon and gholdengo, doesn’t have any bad matchups and chien pao can ohko you anyway, you should try it
You should build a magnezone ex deck. With iron hands
Vengeful punch is a tool, ya tool :)
Sean @euic: hi mom im famous lol
I decked out this exact deck with my snorlax stall there actually pretty screwed against stall
The player was a beginner for sure
Dudunsparce prevents decking out as long as you have 2 in play
Deck: 1 card
Bench: dudunsparce and dunsparce
Activate ability
Draw 1, shuffle 2
The cards you draw are either the basic or the evolution. Anyway, you can evolve and repeat
Next turn 2 cards in deck. Draw 1, have 1. Evolve shuffle 2
Rinse and repeat
Unless you have that stupid fire Pokémon that discards 2
