Never before had i given thought to fighting games but when i saw quan chi’s loading screen animation, i was changed. for the next 2 years, the training room became my place of worship, and you, my preacher. i was 15 at the time and being shouted out in your video was the greatest moment of my life. Since then, i’ve graduated, got a good job, moved out, met girls, and traveled well. All ‘significant’ things but not to me as an individual. Many people have and will do these things. Few have stayed up all night to successfully stumble upon a bug. Even if Quan chi is gonna be a while, i’m excited again to tap into that mk magic. thanks guys, ben
I think its because at first they made hex's recovery like armor spell but then decided to make it usable during trance so they shortened the recovery but forgot to change timer.
After tuning out of the stream I hopped in training mode and messed with it. I stacked the chip spell repeatedly and got 800000 damage! It's so fun to break the game
Do a ranked session where Mustard and ketchup counterpick against the opponent:s explain why you counterpicked which character and what your gameplan is
@PNDKetchup When you say "from this point on" does this mean until the end of the match or the end of the round. Do you have to remake the setup from scratch every round?
Sweet jezus.. i just did this in practice mode and after several double dd2 hex i put the ai on block to see what chip dmg it does.. atrocious.. 283,50% chip damage with a d2 uppercut.. and 384,75% with a blocked xray.. Netherrealm Please Kappa
I like the idea of two portals being up at the same time but the stacking effects of the chip, particularly when the hex spell is gone will 100% be patched. Hope they keep the ability to keep two up though. There's a clear line between a neat and difficult glitch and straight up broken. The first helps deepen Summoner Quan and the other breaks the game.
does the increase in chip work for the entire match or just the round? i picked up sorcerer as my secondary right after your guide and am willing to abuse this till it gets fixed :D

this should not be patched cause the set up is hard as hell to do against someone plus you don't have to block and just take thirty percent of damage and get back into the game
MK ujust Well, all warlock has is counter zoning and summoner has hard to block combos. I believe an almost guaranteed almost 100% combo is a little bit better as long as you are good with setting up special situations. Don't get me wrong, I love all Quan Chi's variations and even use warlock as my main.
Adam Henderson You could but if the player using Quan sees you're not blocking he'll just smash you with a full combo and still take half your life. It's virtually impossible to go through a match against a skilled opponent without blocking something, if a good Quan player sets this up you're going to be in a world of trouble...blocking or no blocking.
I don't think this will be banned as you really have to be pretty good to set it all up when things get really fast and you're up against a tough opponent.

So i tried this out in practice.... Yeah it turns out you can stack it infinitely. I managed to get a down 2 to do 70000% on block and xray to do 100000% :/ not viable in game but fucking hilarious.

Second, did he or someone at NRS intentionally allow for this level of broken gameplay from a character who is already notoriously unfair as it is? Third, Quan Chi is diabolical.
