Straight from the off you hit the nail on the head Kev - if you don't try you'll never know! Wow - what a difference after an hour and some family fun time too - Fab!
Surely there's an easier way kev? That looks like a right pain in the hole, could u use 1 of those rotary polishing machines u see people polishing cars with?
kev I used the soft scour pad with that poilsh to get the brass on our narrowboat started if really it was bad then the power tools came out, now we have treated the metal with lacquer so no more polishing😃
It all depends what grade of alloy the tank is made of as aircraft grade does not polish up to a mirror like shine but is still shiny if you know what I mean.i have used white diamond alloy polish which I found to be good on wheels available on ebay..
Hi Kev a great video the tank looks a lot better all ready doesnt it a little bit more work on it and it will look great keep up with the great work that you do and keep them great videos coming drive carefully and stay safe my friend
Kev you can grab a cheap machine polisher from Argos for about £20-£30 I think. Might be worth getting one of them, and giving it a whirl (pun intended)!
We use soaking wet brillo pads to cut all the crap out and draw all the dirt out .. I done my wheels with polish then a brillo pad then a polish and its 100% easier so get some brillos and some soapy water and see how you go
Nothing stopping you from posting it on his Trucking FB. facebook.com/pg/kevteetrucking/community/?ref=page_internal No reason for him to add you to his personal account.
With that much pitting I would have started with 800 and work up to 2000. Then use an electric buffer or buffer wheel on a drill with the polishing paste.
Polishing a T_ _ _ Nah good job mate, I had a tank like that never did seem to come up really good. Got standard one now, comes up much nicer. See you at P ‘Boro 👍

Nice to see you taking pride in what you drive mate keep up the good work polishing 👌👌👌👍
Peek is great, we use on beer taps etc as you need to polish once a week. The rest of time just a good run up does. Also it's stop water marks
Nice to see the family get involved aswell (:
Great start. Sure it'll look great
Pink stuff is what you need.

As mentioned by other people a rotary polisher will help a bit more, you can get some that will fit on the air tank valves on the truck

Kev you should watch Russell Worthing video mtd56 I think. Last part of his video he polishes his tanks and wheels. His known for his tidy truck
Your giving me ideas now 😀 @ Sunderland
Your two assistants didn't stay long 🤣🤣
I'm going to Peterborough Truckfest, I might pop along to the vloggers tent.
Autosol is great for knife sharpening
Got to do a little and often
I'll give you £20 to do mine?
thatll do one sqaure inch mate
I'd say that's very reasonable!
Typical Luke, wants all the glory but without any effort..... Add another zero and I'll consider it 👍
@@KevTee £20.00p added 2 zeros 😘😂
Why Luke there's 3 days work there at the speed your doing it LOL.
Need to get on it with some buffing wheels
+1 for a grinder or something similar with a polishing wheel. Saves you from being scrunched over the tank scrubbing away....
Your Vlogging exploits must be making you a pretty penny for the family to help you polish the tank!!
try using wire wool to apply your polish you should get a much better result with the pitting
Kev get the boss to buy you a new tank. It will be easier 😂😂 if he doesn’t, get LukeC to do it for you. Brothers in arms & all that...

you keep doing this to me kev now i have a choice between you and the one show
Now you need to do the wheels.

Hope you made a manual entry on your Tacho Kev!!
Of course, just like I do when I'm out the my bike or working of my car or any other hobby I do in my spare time 😂😂

Scrunch up some tinfoil and rub it over. It will fill the pit marks and make it look awesome
I will see you there Monday as my gf got me tickets for my birthday whoop Haha
Buy an polishing head for a battery operated drill You can do it on your down time
Just great. But one Kevtee is great. Not the on the Tank. 😂😂😂. Thank you. John Whitehouse. 👍👍
get some zephyr pro metal polish would tackle that tank no problem at all
Why has all the road legends took their subscriber numbers away?
Hhmm.... I`m thinking there should be a "Truckers Wives" channel.
I'll put it too the boss 😂
Power tools needed Maybe, it would make it a lot easier....As for that Luke bloke tell him to do one! Sorry do his own...Tank that is...LOL...
Kev use some 2000 grip wet and dry with water and a rubber block will be as smooth as a babys bum then polish will be mint
With that much pitting I would have started with 800 and work up to 2000. Then use an electric buffer or buffer wheel on a drill with the polishing paste.
Ha Ha get some Jiff original on it Kev
Polish in straight lines
Kev get a mop on it.
Polishing a T_ _ _

Did I mention there was pitting 😂

Don't be silly 😂😂
when's the next vid Kev
There on there way Steve, just had a bit of a recharge 👍
Buy an electric polisher, thar looks like bloody hard work 😓
Get an electric mop mate saves loads time
Why don't you use a machine polisher
No electricity supply, going to try a battery drill to make things easier 👍
@@KevTee that would be easier are you taking your truck to Peterborough?
Yes mate the Volvo will be there shiney tank or not lol
@@KevTee good il be there just booked tickets for me and the family coming from Kent
You need at least to sand the tanks. Your just buffing dirt
Life's far to short to be wasting any of it polishing the diesel tank of a Volvo tractor unit.
Each to there own and all that fella 👍
Keep at it🥵💦👍🏼
