    Holy shit those map lights are a pain in the ass!
    If you are having trouble getting them out, and don't have any pliers, use a bit of cling film for traction. I used cling film as a sort of 'glove,' twisted it a bit around the bulb, and then pulled sharply while holding the bulb are hard as I could. That shit was really difficult to get out.

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The map, dome, door, footwell, and trunk would use a T10 fitment, the vanity mirror is a 42mm and the license plate is a 36mm.

      No, the LEDs are not one size fits all. You would need the correct LED fitment to ensure it would fit the connector. However, we do the research so you don't have to. When purchasing with PLED, we ship out the LEDs in separate, labeled packaging so you know where to install.

    My map lights have a glass cover so it is impossible to access the lamps from below. I found the easiest way to replace all the dome lamps was to remove the entire dome assembly (both front and rear) and access the lamps from the top. The lamps are held by a bayonet fitting.

    • @IlloDaGreek
      @IlloDaGreek 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Cody Blauvelt I know what the problem is. Because led lights need less watts to run than the halogen the system in the car reads it as a faulty bulb. but you can buy T10 Leds with built in resistors that will work fine. it basically tricks the system that you have a halogen. led use like 10 watts or so when halogen use 30 or more. a led with a resistor uses the same power as a halogen so you won't have that problem any more

    I changed all my interior lights but for some reason the lights on the celing will only turn on if the car is off. Wen I turn it on they will only be on for a few seconds and after that they will never vome back on. Also on the fender signal lights they work but on my dash it says to check my bulbs. Please help me.

      Erick, is this after an installation with PrecisionLED bulbs? If not, there is not much we can do to help. If this is purchased from PrecisionLED your best bet is to open a support ticket with us so we can assist and diagnose the problem.
      Visit the contact section of the website and open a support ticket.

      PrecisionLED I just bought the simple eBay interior lights For example on the hid head light bulbs they wont stay on unless you but a cambus kit so the voltage will match or something. Thats wats happening with my interior lights they turn on but they wont stay on.
      Thanks for responding and helping

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Erick, the problem you are having has to do with the type of LEDs you got on ebay. You need CANBus resistor packed LEDs for a BMW and that is why both the interior and the exterior turn signal lights are not working. The only thing we can recommend you do is return the ebay interior LEDs. We offer a full CANBus resistor packed kit for the interior that you can try, check the description link. As for the exteriors, you need additional resistors or a new Relay in your fuse box. if you want assistance getting the right parts, email us at help(at)precisionled(dot)com
      Cheers,

      The LEDs would be 2-3x brighter than your stock OEM bulbs, and would give off a nice LED pure white hue.

    which light would look nicest on red seats ? 6000k crystal white or 8000k blue light

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jack, the 6000K I think would look better with the Red Seats. The hint of blue in the 8000K would clash a bit with the red.

    Don't do the front dome like that. You can push too much and break the pins. Just take the torx 20 screws on the sun visor and do it properly

      Yes, if you are worried about applying too much force and breaking something do whatever works best for you!
