yes! the war & voldemort did a number on both of them. for me H & D are two sides of the same coin. not many really understand what they had to go through during the war -- and after the war both have to deal with the fact that everybody knows them or thinks they know them.

thank you so much 💕💕💕 it did take a while, i worked on it for about three months in 2018, though some months i spent more time with it than others. i have no idea how many hours it was in total... i'm guessing at least 250 hours? there were the drawings themselves, the details (and hatching 😅) i got lost in, the drawing and redrawing till i was happy with a layout and the lines on "paper". i also kept adding more and more scenes 🤣 and then the library scene whicv consists of 25 single images i think? i can't remember, it's been a while 😅 i also had to learn how to use the animation program and i wanted to get the timing *just right*. it was a lot of fun to create this piece 💕💕💕 and i hope i can find the time to work on a new one :)) thank you again for your lovely comment!!

oof yes, i did not choose the easiest (fastest) style for this video ... and it kept growing 🤣 it's 18 scenes in total, and the library alone consists of 28 images if i remember correctly where i had to redraw the stupid books again and again. maybe i should learn 3D modelling to facilitate things like that, but it was all hand-drawn. in 1080p, you can see each single tiny line i drew to create shadows etc. i got a bit carried away 🤣 i think i worked on it for 3 months in total (also had work work of course).

in this AU (alternate universe), the epilogue of the 7th book doesn't happen. and it plays with the idea of harry and ginny growing apart while harry was horcrux hunting with hermione and ron in 7th year. during that time, ginny stayed at hogwarts for her 6th year, she might have grown close to someone else at hogwarts, neville, dean (her ex-boyfriend), luna etc. i'm not saying harry was without friends when he came back to hogwarts for his 8th year, the video just explores one possibility: what if harry feels out of place once back at hogwarts? so much was riding on his shoulders during the war, and then the battle of hogwarts happened, the forbidden forest where he died is just a stone throw away, and so many rooms in the castle come with bad memories. maybe hogwarts does not feel like home any longer for harry and draco. and both the expectations from society & students ("saviour", "boy who lived twice") and the prejudice from the wizarding world and students ("deatheater") are too much for them. so in my AU, they find in the other person someone who's going through a similar experience even if it's on the other side of the spectrum. one is condemned for what he did during the war, the other one is practically worshipped. both just tried to survive and keep their loved ones safe. so that's where i'm coming from :) i love ginny! and i want her to be able to find out what she really wants in life. probably a quidditch career ;D and then we'll see who she meets 💖
