Ollie has made several videos that start with "blocked drain" and end up with a mechanical digger opening up a trench to replace a pipe that is damaged beyond repair. And Ollie is a good guy, if he sees something that would get damaged, he moves it out of the way.
I just said that same thing to my husband about yesterday's video. Ollie was having to work around heaps of leaves and debris and a unwinded water hose on the sidewalk. I'm sure it makes his job much harder. But yeah, you're right. If you know the plumber is coming, have the courtesy to clean up the space they'll be working in. Sheesh!!

Just as when I have my septic pumped I make sure it’s a clear path and no obstacles. It’s a courtesy, but I am old school and still also tip for work done correctly and professionally.

I can heartily recommend Hodgkins Patent Beard Shampoo. A "must have" mens toiletry for the modern plumbing and sanitation engineer. They also do a handy size for keeping in the glove box of your van. Why not try out their facial scrubs. They're all aloe-vera based to soften the skin, with just a dash of disinfectant.

A drain can go from flowing ok to backed up in a matter of moments. It may have been they called for help when they saw the dunny was backing up.
