I did that trip in 1986, on the road a month later than you so no snow or ice. Also no big wildlife that I could see. Could only fly to Tuktoyaktuk as there was no road back then. No other cyclists at all on my journey. Most expensive part was flight out of Inuvik to Edmonton. It was one of the greatest rides I have done.

We rode up to Tuk then back to Inuvik to fly home to Vanc
