As a Japanese photographer living in overseas for many years, I'm enjoying so much to see your photos of Japan in your point of views that something I dont have. Subbed and looking forward to see more videos.
People who dislike this lens are mostly ones who relly on fast apertures a lot. Either because their lack of composition skills or because the lack of light in their subject of matter.
Instantly bought this lens when I realized I wanted to bring my a7iii for travel, but didnt want to struggle with carrying my 24-105 f4 everywhere. Best purchase ever.
Wow! What a beautiful video! Looks like a very nice day! :) Also the lens really impressed me! I just bought the 40mm f 2.5 G. I cannot wait to test it. :)
thanks for this video, I made very similar one on my channel some times ago with photos with the 28-60 and A7C and A7C II I made in Japan, Argentina, Chile and Spain and all the comments were that the photos were good only because of the post production, I think people sometimes simply can't change their mind despite the evidence (specially some kind of photographer), I hope you will get better comments because I love this lens for travel
I bought this zoom used ( from a kit) for 170 euros, a steal. It is a very good lens indeed. Contrast could be perhaps better. The only real problem it has is a bad flare. I use it a lot.
Great video and photos. I have had this lens for a long time and although I recently bought the Sony 24-50, I am reluctant to sell it due to its small size and quite acceptable quality.
Thanks, I have been considering getting that same 24-50 for a while but don't feel the urgent need for it now. This little lens is great when not doing low light or portrait photos
Great photos, make me really miss Miyajima and Hiroshima. I went there this May and although it was packed with people (blame Golden Week), the scenes were just amazing.
i had this lens for a while and never used it because the 50mm 1.8 and sigma 16mm was so good, but i recently started needed a zoom lens and was forced to use it for vlogging since my vlog camera broke. LET ME TELL YOU LOL! it stays on the cam now, unless im shooting production shoots. and for fashion street photography it has been fun and light to carry around!
I would be interested in how you choose the camera you are taking for a shoot. Or in other words: do you even consider to take the Ricoh with you, since you got your A7C ii? ❤
Should be maybe elaborate that in a whole video. I have been shooting less and less with my Ricoh since I have the a7cii that is not much a burden to carry and offer a lot more versatility
It is objectively bad, they should have made the original kit lens smaller, this lens is an abomination. If I am going to take a picture with that level of aperture and zoom range. Might as well use a phone, if they want to make a kit lens, do it right like fuji.
I used to own the mighty fuji kit lens and I don't see anywhere this Sony lens is very inferior. Yes the design and build quality is not as good but the image quality, range and bokeh are about the same
@@adriensanguinetti i have both old sony kit lens and fuji kit lens, sell the old sony to buy the new one, sell it immediately. Now i don't have any kit lens for sony, the fuji is enough, but now I own the tamron 28-200.
I wouldn't sleep on it either, it looks kind of uncomfortable...
Kinda hard indeed haha

Having more range is appealing but it comes at a big weight cost
I'm watching your photos on my 50-inch TV and they're amazing I love how you edit the photos and the video Greetings from Spain!
Awesome! Thank you!
I own quite a few lenses, but this is my favorite for outdoor, daytime photography. Very sharp and very light.
Totally agree!
Such a magical place! Really loved this video.
Thank you so much!
I love your channel, always makes me want to get out and shoot. I love your composition and thought process videos, please make more @ 85mm.
Fantastic video as always Adrien!
You're the best!

Thanks for your comment! I have been tempted to test this 40mm for so long, maybe I will get it

Great video as always. Was the b-roll all shot on the pocket 3?
Thanks, the broll was a mix of pocket 3 and sony a7cii
@@adriensanguinetti thanks for replying. did you need to use an nd filter for the Sony?

Do you use any nd filter in this video for video and photo? If yes then which brand nd filter do you use?
Super images complimented by a mesmerising aural soundtrack 👊
Many thanks!
Can you use an ND filter on a zoom lens like this? If not, it would be a problem in the video.
Yes you can, the filter thread is 40.5mm
What’s that BGM at the 5minute mark?
This: Corales (with Grauwi) - Marta Cascales Alimbau
Yes I agree. I hate this lens. It’s impossible to change your aperture once you stop up. Horrible.
It is weird zoom slow me down, i sold for tamron 20-40
The tamron looks nice but I don't need this much width on the wide end
I have this lens. If anyone want to buy please let me know.
Cos it’s boringly average in every regard
