I am late to this Review, but since David Toys had them to sell, i ordered now the both packs also and its somehow cool, to have the first ever released Warhammer 40k Joytoy Figures added to my Joytoy Warhammer 40K Collection, which is still growing. I'm not a huge fan of the Phobos armor marines but I did just ordered the Reivers which should have the base body. Your review does make me want to get these guys though!
I stopped buying joytoy, they keep reducing quality and raising price. The shoulder pads are terrible now. Unless they bring ball joints back Im not buying them anymore.
im not a fan of the phobos armor so i didn't get any of these. looking at my ultramarine figures, the old ones look plain compared to the new releases and the newer ones looks better than 1.0 for some reason. however, i prefer 1.0 hands over 2.0 ones because they can hold weapon grips much better and they have no gaps like the 2.0 hands have when holding weapons. i wish they'd change the pauldron connectors because 2.0 pauldrons are often too loose and wiggly especially on the grey knights.
Yes the price is expensive but back in thiwe days the price was still ok for these figures, but getting a bit expensive these days, maybe the license is getting more expensive too so Joytoy needs to rise the price. I don't think it has anything to do with production or labor cost in factories in China...
really need v2 infiltrators and incursors for blood angels or raven gurads
