We have a RWD i4 e40 msport. Over 32,000 miles in MA weather, the average consumption has been 3.9 mi/kWh. In summer we usually see 4.2 or better, while in winter it drops to 3.5 - 3.7 most of the time. Under 3.5 with single digit temps. We would have preferred 18” wheels but we wanted the msport suspension. Went with the all season tires since this is much more a cruiser than sport sedan. So far, it’s been great.

How? I've had my i4 same configuration m-sport. 25 thousand miles but only get 3.2 at BEST mi/kWh. somethings wrong.

Agree and agreed. Own one but currently looking to get a replacement since screw up and didn’t get the upgraded driving assistance pro. I can’t find anything that fits my lifestyle as much as i4 (Model S is 2nd) so my next car will be another i4 if a get a deal on lease lol

Great car (if you sit in the front row), thanks for the review. For me living in (western) Europe it's shocking to hear that the US charging infrastructure seems to be so bad. We have so many opportunities to charge the car and could even charge all types of cars at almost all Tesla Supercharger locations as well.

Now imagine Tesla is locked to Tesla only and you have about 1/5th of the truly government owned chargers above 11kw. How’s your charging infrastructure them?

Nice to see a little of B’dale on the video. It was great to spend some time with you both! Beautiful car. Thanks for the video Charlie 😊

    Hello Charlie,
I am considering purchasing the new 2024 BMW XDrive 40 Gran Coupe.
However, the dealer informed me that the actual range of the 4x4 is 200 miles due to the additional motor and M package.
In contrast, your video stated that the range is 279 miles. This significant discrepancy has caused confusion, as various sources provide conflicting information about the range.
Could you please clarify the actual range of the vehicle? Your expertise in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

The lowest xDrive40 range is 279 miles per the EPA. Driven at the speed limit on normal roads, you should see this figure in the real world. Fueleconomy.gov has all the official figures. Good luck!
